Chocolate Pie just like mama's

Good food, good atmosphere conducive to conversation and chocolate pie tasted so much like Mama's I asked to be adopted.

Great restaurant! Great food! Very friendly staff. Nice big old southern house turned into a restaurant.

My husband and I ate a late lunch there. The location is good, clean and good atmosphere. I only wanted a light meal and they would not deviate from their printed menu. Server was very apologetic, but nonetheless I was a little disappointed.

I live in Bardstown and I typically only eat here when I have a client who wants to eat here. I've only eaten lunch here so maybe the dinner menus is more impressive. I will get some sort of sandwich to eat which isn't bad. The service is great and they are very attentive. The best thing about this place... More

We were lucky enough tha an Easter Sunday Brunch Reservation cancelled and we were graciously taken care of even though we were a smaller party. The food and service was scrumptious!

This restaurant was recommended by several sources and we were very pleased we chose to have dinner there. We were seated quickly and our server was very pleasant. The fried chicken was wonderful! Just like my grandmother made it. Everything was delicious, including the coconut cream pie!

I just love the atmosphere of this restaurant. You feel like you're back in the day. We had a great server , Anne. The food was delishious and the inexpensive. I wish I would have got more pictures to share. If your in town and your looking for an enjoyable place to dine, give Kurtz a try.

Kurtz’s, a family restaurant in the very historic city of Bardstown, Kentucky, sits across from Federal Hill, the plantation house known as My Old Kentucky Home and now a state park. If you’re in town for antiquing, crafting, Bourbon Trailing, golfing, etc., and want a delicious lunch, you really can’t go wrong at Kurtz’s. During a recent stop we were... More

We got there Sunday evening after they'd had a large weekend crowd but were warmly greeted, quickly seated, and treated to a freshly-cooked meal. They have a special slaw (vinegar based) that they are famous for, and for good reason. All meals come with beets, fried cornbread, and green beans. Our meals also included rolls. Mom had the special of... More

This historical family restaurant is right across the street from 'My Old Kentucky Home' State Park. It was time for lunch and my husband and I decided to stop here. (Actually, before we left on our weekend get-a-way, my brother suggested that we eat here if we had a chance.) At first, we thought it was going to be a
