Nice party venue

Our daughter married here. The Colonel and Sue did a great job with everything and were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed it so much!

No only does this restaurant have wonderful local cuisine, but the home itself has great history and charm. You will love the homey, yet elegant, feel of the dining rooms and table settings. It seems strange somehow to be seated in such elegant surroundings and be served such simple Kentucky food. As a local, born and raised Kentuckian, I found... More

We were so looking forward to visiting! Made a reservation 5 months in advance and what happened. .. we arrive and restaurant was closed! Not even the courtesy of calling us! I recommend you stay away and go a few steps away Harrison House!

Jim, I am very sorry we did try and reach you the day before to let you know we were not going to be unable to be open for you and your guests. I am glad you were able dine with our neighbors at the Harrison Smith House. Sometime things happen beyond our control, I hope you know we did... More

To clarify up front, we had drinks only with Colonel Masters and did not dine here. Our bourbon tasting and "cocktail hour" with the Colonel was very enjoyable and one of the highlights of our stay in Bardstown. We, along with another couple, sat outside on a beautiful evening and had great conversation with the Colonel. He's a great storyteller... More

Go spend an evening with the Colonel. Its not about just the food which is excellent. It is not just about the bourbon drinks which are excellent. It is not just about the warm inviting atmosphere which is relaxing. It is the total experience which put me in mind of sitting with folks I like, drinking good whisky and eating... More

We had dinner at Chapeze House in April 2013. It was such a wonderful time that we said we would go back the next time in Bardstown. After returning to Michigan we kept telling our friends about our wonderful food and conversation with the Colonel and Margaret Sue. This past weekend we returned with 4 others and were not disappointed.... More

This was our best meal and bourbon drink in Bardstown. The cider bourbon drink was awesome and the food and service outstanding.

I was a little skeptical after reading some of the bad reviews and this is absolutely one of those cases were you can ignore the bad reviews. We had a great night with The Colonel and it was one of those nights to remember! It ended up just being my wife and I and another couple and that ended up... More

We made a reservation for dinner based on recommendation from a friend in Nashville. We arrived at 630 for cocktails. Rosemary made an incredible Manhattan with 100 proof Old Forester! We snacked on delicious beer cheese with crackers and got acquainted with the Colonel and other guests. The salad with homemade dressing was great. The pork chop was tender accompanied... More

I mistakenly made reservations for Oct. 10 rather than the 11th, which is when my party of five was to dine at Chapeze House. Margaret Sue phoned to check on our absence on the 10th, and when I apologized, she graciously extended our reservation to the next evening, and we were not disappointed. The Colonel, Daniel, Chef Rosemary, and Margaret... More
