I think the thing I like most about Mammy's is the interesting decorations and random knick-knacks all around (no joke, there was a cupboard hole next to my chair that had a fake chicken, nest, and a rooster...I thought it was funny). The atmosphere is really relaxed, and the service is great. Our orders were taken promptly, and food served... More

We arrived at 6:10 PM to find the street outside Mammy's closed for an outdoor concert, and people setting up their chairs in the street in front of the stage, so we weren't surprised there was a wait for a table. There was a girl at a table set up outside the door taking names and selling beer. She told... More

We came to Bardstown during the 4th of July weekend where everything downtown was pretty well closed. We stepped inside and it was crowded. No one greeted us. Eventually a waitress acknowledged us and took our names. Grateful that Mammy's was open, we excitedly waited outside on a bench to be sat and eat the local food. We both ordered... More

Four of us ate here for lunch. We had the hot brown and the bourbon hamburgers. The hot brown was very good and only a half order was needed. Two of us added the jalapeño to the burgers and they were great. The pies looked good but we were too full to get them. Our waitress, the owners daughter, was... More

What a treat! Stopped in around 3:00pm our first day in Bardstown. Great service from our waitress, great sandwiches and a delightful atmosphere. Oh, and the pie was awesome. All for around $20. Really! Did not see that coming... Highly recommend.

I happened to be in town at the same time as some sort of music conference. The place was packed, and I had to wait a while for a seat. Everyone was obviously working as hard and fast as they could. If you want fried, home-cooking, this place is great. I had the bourbon burger and chocolate pie. The fries... More

Stopped in this gem on my way to Nashville of 65. The food was great but it was the service that took this place over the top. Family friendly. Serves adult beverages. Southern hospitality at its best. Oh- save room for a slice of homemade chocolate or butterscotch pie!

The menu is a trip back in time to enjoy cooking and food items your mother made--------even a fried baloney sandwich. It has interesting items on the wall to look at while dining. Lunch time was crowded, but sevice was good and customers were treated like friends on a visit.

I ordered the cheese and spinach omelet and my wife a pancake. The omelet was fantastic! The Swiss cheese made it so very tasty. My wife’s pancake covered the entire plate. We sent a photo of it to a friend and she replied that it looked like a hat. Great choice for breakfast.
