Understaffed

The food was allright but the service was awful. These were a lot of young waitresses but not very well trained.

Its obvious that this place is always busy. There could be a bit more attention paid to the customer once seated. It took a while to get a drink order in and to have our order taken, but once you get your food you forget all about that. The food is the reason people go to Mamm'ys Kitchen so be... More

We visited for Lunch on, the waiting was only a few mins. to get a table. Our server was nice and helpful with the menu, our food was fresh and hot. My husband got Ky hot brown (different than any he had eaten before) but wonderful. I got the hamburger that are know for, it was fresh hamburger meat not... More

Stopped in to have a bite between Distillary tours. The atmosphere is a cross between diner and country farm house kitchen. Loved the mismatched tables &chairs. Food was decent , waitress was not as attentive as we would have liked as appetizer served w/o table service and drinks not filled. Fried green tomatoes were ok ,heavy cornmeal breading - would... We both had the soup/salad combo. Vegetable/beef soup. Wonderful!! Salad with celery seed vinaigrette dressing! Got dressing on the side in case I didn't care for it. It was wonderful!!! I highly recommend it. Menu looked very interesting for other meals also!

This place was recommended by several people so we decided to take a trip to Bardstown to try it! So glad we did. Even though we had to wait 45 min to be seated and the food took some time coming out, it was well worth it (Remind you that the place was crazy busy)! My wife got the Fried... More

I ordered a bourbon chicken sandwich. The chicken was hard and dry, looking like processed meat rather than fresh chicken. The bun tasted like a cheap grocery store purchase, and the potato chips were broken and unremarkable. The pickle wedge that came with the plate was dried and brown on one end. In short the meal was pretty much inedible... More

We stopped here for just a late snack and didn't expect such a huge portions that were really delicious. I had the fried green tomatoes which I shared and my husband had the soup and cornbread. There was so much cornbread we took it home for a snack later on! Sorry we couldn't get there for breakfast as we heard... More

Fried green tomatoes are fantastic! Sweet tea also amazingly good. I had the ruben and it was maybe the best I've had. Good meat to kraut to dressing ratio. Soup of the day was butter bean (with ham bits of course). So good. Hubs had beans and cornbread, daughter had a burger. All really yummy. Great atmosphere, friendly service.
