A great family atmosphere - and good food!

Mammy's is an authentic family run restaurant with good people running it. It has become the go-to place for locals. The owner is great. She makes you feel welcome. Stopped here while on bourbon tour. Very quaint town & establishments. Fried green tomato sandwich and sweet tea was perfect lunch bite.

I was hoping when they moved to the new location that they would control the noise level better, but no. Still major echo from talking and kitchen noise. The food is good. The pie is not. Don't waste your money on that dessert. The cobblers are decent if you want desert. They have a really good old fashioned hamburger. Mostly... More

Mammy's Kitchen and their family staff is the best place to have a meal and make new friends I can think of. Any trip to Bardstown isn't complete with a stop (or three) at Mammy's.

I've eaten lunch at Mammy's several times. Friendly staff and simple, country-style cooking resulted in a delicious meal each time. I've also taken out-of-towners to Mammy's with enjoyable experiences. Don't go to Mammy's for gourmet fare or a sophisticated atmosphere, but you can't beat it for tasty country cooking! The new location is spacious, attractive, and clean.

Now moved to a larger location right around the corner in the Old Stables building. Plenty of room and updated. Food is always good. You can find good country home cookin' here. The pies look yummy!

Upon entering the door of this restaraunt, we were greeted right away and had our name put on the list. We then were seated within a couple of minutes. Staff was friendly. As soon as we were seated, the waiter was there to take our drink order. When we ordered our food, it came in a reasonable time. It was... More

Went this morning. Worked our way to back area to find dining open. "seat yourselves" was our greeting Got a table and sat and waited. Got menu and waited. Placed order then waited and waited and waited. After a cup of watery coffee and 45 minutes, we finally got our food. Corned beef hash was actually hashbrowns w/flat top grilled... More

The waitstaff are very friendly and helpful. Food is very good. Everything is homemade. It's one of those great little southern diners that we used to have so many of. The pie was excellent. Just like my mom used to make.
