We went to this restaurant on a recommendation of our innkeeper, after a morning on the Bourbon trail, and couldn't believe how we the food was! It was hot, plentiful and tasty...we took boxes home and ate some later. Well-recommended to anyone, as their menu has great variety!!

Had the opportunity to visit Mammy's since their move to the "Jailers Inn". Came through front door and followed the long hall, winding back through the building, then coming into a large room but no one around. Saw lights farther back in the building and kept walking. Walked into the dining area and someone said just have a seat. Someone... More

My wife and I stopped at Mammy's Kitchen for lunch. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich and I had a grilled cheese sandwich and tater tots. We finished our meal with pie -- chocolate for my wife and butterscotch for me. The pies were fresh and apparently baked on the premises -- and delicious. My wife said her sandwich... More

their policy states they serve breakfast till 11. I arrived at 10:50 am just in time to hear someone from the kitchen say no more breakfast orders!!! I was extremely disappointed!!!! I'm not the only person this has happened to. Their lunch is ok but breakfast is 10x better!!! Very disappointed in their decision to not follow their own policy!

We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday, and as warned, we waited about 30 mins. or a table. It was definitely worth the wait! Service was a bit slow, but they were SO pleasant and sweet, no complaints from me! The pancakes were delish, and the breakfast sausage was seriously the best I have had in a long time!... More

While traveling through KY, we decided to stop in Bardstown for lunch. We quickly checked TA for advice and just as we drove downtown spotted Mammy's - no. 2 on TA. Figured we couldn't go wrong. Found a parking spot a couple of blocks away - right in front of the NEW local for Mammy's. Our server told us they... More

like an old diner, and maybe this particular dinner experience was not typical. The place was full and we had a short wait for a table on a Thursday evening...service was OK and very friendly (except they forgot my knife and fork), food was OK (but really lacked imagination and quality ingredients - maybe we should have tried the special,... This place can highly recommend so we stopped by. They are in the process of moving a few doors away so they will have more room. Had the local favorite, My. Brown and it was good. Owner said they would be moved in about four weeks and it would solve all of their room problems. I'd the place is more... More

Small town cafe with small town atmosphere and prices. They have good sandwiches. Try to get a window seat so you can people watch while eating.

We stopped for lunch on Nov 8, 2014 after touring Makers Mark Distillery. The restaurant is located downtown in a small shop. The restaurant allows you to remember back in time when all small towns had similar dinners. They are moving soon to a much larger building which is still downtown. Our food was excellent and I do recommend this... More
