I have lived in Kansas for about 3 years now and I have been on an endless search for good Kansas BBQ. I'm beginning to think that does not exist or my expectations are too high. The Hickory Hut BBQ was hyped up to me by one of my friends for a long time. So after a day trip to... More

Can't believe we finished a slab of ribs. They were delicious. Robert Irvine would have a great time redoing the interior, but he couldn't improve the rib recipe. Only regret it it 1500 miles from home. Definitely would go back if ever in the area again.

We went here for dinner based on trip advisor reviews. We greatly enjoyed our meal, though the barbecue flavor was not the very best I have ever had. The pulled pork was tasty yet not outstanding. The fries, on the other hand, were outstanding. Place was very clean and service was very friendly. The drinks and condiments were self-serve, a... More

stopped at Hickory on our way west and on the return. Some of the best ribs and brisket we have had. Ashame they don't sell beer but food was tasty, service quick and ribs were to die for. worth the short detour off I-70. It's finding places like this that make trip advisor an essential travel tool.

I was in Salina on business, got my trusty phone out, and searched for any restaurants that were near me, I was surprised that the #1 restaurant in Salina was less than a mile away, so I headed that way. The first thing that caught my attention was that the BBQ was kept under a light! Bad sign I thought...... More

This Texas barbecue snob got blown away by this place on the way back home from the College World Series in Omaha. Clearly where the locals eat lunch, with the cops and EMTs in attendance, we were too late for the burnt ends, but the ribs were world-class. Need to figure out how to get back to Salina!

Every time we drive through Kansas, we stop here for the best BBQ my family has ever had! I grew up in the South, but nothing compares to Kansas BBQ. Their sauce is amazing! Great pulled pork and amazing brisket. My husband loves the burnt ends. The people are great. One of my favorite stops.

Great food, super fast and right off the interstate. I had the burnt ends sandwich with slaw and fries.

We discovered this place driving across the country and have been back since planning our trip to arrive just in time for lunch or dinner. The meat is sooo juicy and is truly an art form at cooking it. Their sauce is a mix between sweet and a hint of spice. Very different and delicious.

I just moved into town a few days ago and found this place on trip advisor. It looks kind of uninviting from the outside, I had even passed it earlier in the day and not even noticed it. However, do not let that deter you! I walked in and it's like an old family house decorated with tons of old... More
