This Texas barbecue snob got blown away by this place on the way back home from the College World Series in Omaha. Clearly where the locals eat lunch, with the cops and EMTs in attendance, we were too late for the burnt ends, but the ribs were world-class. Need to figure out how to get back to Salina!

Every time we drive through Kansas, we stop here for the best BBQ my family has ever had! I grew up in the South, but nothing compares to Kansas BBQ. Their sauce is amazing! Great pulled pork and amazing brisket. My husband loves the burnt ends. The people are great. One of my favorite stops.

Great food, super fast and right off the interstate. I had the burnt ends sandwich with slaw and fries.

We discovered this place driving across the country and have been back since planning our trip to arrive just in time for lunch or dinner. The meat is sooo juicy and is truly an art form at cooking it. Their sauce is a mix between sweet and a hint of spice. Very different and delicious.

I just moved into town a few days ago and found this place on trip advisor. It looks kind of uninviting from the outside, I had even passed it earlier in the day and not even noticed it. However, do not let that deter you! I walked in and it's like an old family house decorated with tons of old... More

My wife and I joined a group of 6-8 people for dinner- several of whom are regular diners at the Hickory Hut BBQ. We all enjoyed our meal which came promptly; I had the brunt ends sandwich. I found it tasty, abundant with good-tasting BBQ sauce. Others had the pulled pork and a couple had ribs, and the food was... More

We were in Salina for the night and were delighted to find this terrific little spot. The ribs and brisket were juicy and flavorful and servings generous. Onion rings and beans were the best all summer. It was an excellent value and worth a special stop. We would definitely go back

Had lunch here, you order at the counter, they give you a number & within 5-10 minutes your food is delivered to your table, a great place to try, especially versus all the fast food joints in Salina. Not terribly expensive either. I enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich, sauce is on the sweeter side, so good to know if that's... More

Stopped here because of trip advisor number 1 ranking. I would not have stopped just by driving past. Very good meal with generous portions. Sweet sauce and sweeter baked beans.
