Excellent food and service, great value, nice ambiance. I would very highly recommend this restaurant. We just had friends go, but the noise level was low enough that we could enjoy conversation. This would be a good date night as well.

I'm always on the lookout for new "lunch spots" to meet and share with friends. The Tavern in Prairie Village, KS filled the bill for us last Saturday. A yummy kale salad with grilled salmon was my choice and my friends enjoyed lentil cakes, roasted veggie salad and fish tacos - all good. Service was exemplary and the ambiance allowed... More

Had a very nice lunch here. I recommend the curry tomato soup, and also had the curry chicken salad sandwich. Great french fries, too. Others had the grilled vegetable salad, which looked good. They also have excellent coffee.

I would agree with one reveiwer...this place has a little bit of an identity crisis. It is eclectic as far as types of food served. They have a small menu but they have are all over the place from Middle Eastern Hummas to Home Cooked Beff Stroganoff to Italian and Mexican. It is kind of hard to put your finger... More

It was our first visit there and we met friends for a 7:30 dinner. On the way in, we were surprised to see several other friends dining outside. The atmosphere was lively but not loud, and the food was good. So was the Merlot. The restaurant had a "neighborhood" feel. We live south of Prairie Village and are pleased they're... More

Being a fairly regular customer of the Tavern in the Village, I have noticed several menu changes from the inception, and have experienced several entree choices in the past that were not, in my opinion, up to par for this very nice neighborhood spot. However, I can happily say that my latest two visits recently have been really super enjoyable... More

Great place, wonderful food, great service and atmosphere. I would pick this as a special place to do lunch with the girls with some light shopping in the area, or a great quite dinner get away. I have eaten here for lunch several times trying different dishes each trip. All wonderful I can't say there is a favorite because they... More

Atmosphere, cleanliness and service all were great. Blueberry/Cilantro Margarita-YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! Fresh, light and very unexpected. 6 of us ate, all something different, all VERY good. Crab Cake BLT made with lots of real crab and only enough other stuff to hold it together. My daughter stated, "This is the BEST meal I have ever eaten out!". Beef... More

The four of us ladies had Sunday Brunch in this neighborhood gem. Two had breakfast items, two lunch. Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Croissant Sandwich with potatoes o'brien. SPinach, Feta Egg White Omelet with potatoes o'brien. Lunch: Burger and veggies. Chicken Salad Entree size. AND baby donuts with dipping sauce. YUM! Atmosphere is great for visiting, service is attentive and sociable.
