We were there on Father's Day and there was a line. We waited 45 minutes for our table. The onion rings and fried mushrooms were great. But the highlight was their chicken, which stayed crispy (you can still hear the crunch when you bite into it) even when cold, refrigerated from the lunch meal and eaten late at night. Plus... More

As we passed the Chicken Annie's sign on the highway, my husband said he'd never been there. I swear my car almost turned itself around without my help. Before we could even talk about it, we were on our way. We arrived at the beginning of the dinner hour, so the restaurant wasn't very crowded. Kitchy chicken decor and family... More

Went to Chicken Annie's and had some great fried chicken. I loved that you can get wishbones here, thought only my family cut up chicken that way. Ordered some onions and they were awesome. I got the german potato salad and my son ordered mashed potatoes, both were very good and I would recommend either. If you like fried chicken... More

Their claim is fried chicken. This is one of those places where the locals claim is great food. It's worth eatin there once but the food is average. Not much flavor in the chicken but was cooked done. Overall I'd say go so you and tell your friends I've been there. Service was very good and helpful but that doesn't... More

This has been a favorites for over 35 years of mine and the chicken (wishbones) are always tender and moist. A little out of the way drive but worth it. This in not a fancy place to eat more like eating at home. Must order onions rings!!

It had been a couple of years since I had last eaten at Annie's, but it is just as good as I remember. The quality is far above "chain" places. Your presented with real chicken, that's crispy and hot and terrific. The family tried several different sides (we help ourselves to try each others plates!) The German Cole Slaw was... More

Ok....I recently visited Chicken Annies in Pittsburg for my sons birthday. He attends college in Pittsburg, so we traveled down there on Sunday. Food was very good, and I frankly prefer the chicken here over Chicken Mary's next door. Wait time was 10 minutes, service is good and the food is great. I might be used to big city prices... More

Am fortunate to live only 30 miles from Chicken Annie's Original. Have been eating there for over 50 years and still have to have my Chicken Annie's "fix" at least once a month. Chicken is awesome as are the German sides. Onion rings are to die for. Never get tired of this place and in fact going back today!

While visiting friends in Kansas, they took us to Chicken Annie's for dinner. We are sure glad they did. This long-time local restaurant was a treat. The atmosphere was casual and inviting. Our server was excellent. She even took some pictures of us with our friends. The food was delicious ... great chicken, good choice of sides, and onion rings... More

I had to go to Pittsburg Kansas for a family visit. I had no clue that Chicken Annie's and Mary's were in this area and I really didn't know they were next to each other. My wife and I saw Food Wars when these restaurants were on the show and we decided to do our own rating. Chicken Annie's was... More
