We visited this local restaurant for my wifes birthday. We also did this a year ago on her birthday as they make you feel so special. If they know you are having a celebration of some sort they place a stand up card on your tablecloth with a hand wrriten note inside offering a free dessert for the occasion. This... More

My wife's food was great (scallops and filet), mine not so much (flat iron and duck). Wait staff was excellent the first half of the night, forgot us the second half. Not sure what to think of the restaurant. Would like to give them another shot but there are so many great options in town, I probably won't.

We returned to KC for a visit, and returned to one of our favorite places - Yia Yia's. But, it's now Ya Ya's. I don't know if they changed ownership or just changed their name. We didn't think the food or service was as good as it was 3 years ago. We had an OK meal - but the menu... More

My daughter, grandson (3 1/2) and I went out for an early dinner at 5:30 pm. Even at that hour, the place was relatively busy. Our server was very attentive and provided excellent service. We ate on the patio, even if it was a little chilly for October in the evening. Even though we had a youngster, we felt welcome.... More

I didn't have the highest expectations for KC - expectations borne out at a few other restaurants in town - but Yia Yia's was quite good. The hummus especially was worth noting, well spiced, not over-pureed so it had some real texture, decent pita. Not enough microbrews for my preferences, but I've discovered that's endemic to the region. Next time I'm... More

Whenever we visit the Kansas City area, we always have lunch or dinner at Yia Yia's as it has become one of our favorites. The ambience, service, and cuisine cannot be beat and are always dependable. We ate lunch this past week and since it was cooler than most July days in Kansas, we were able to enjoy eating on... More

Yia Yia's is always wonderful - Sunday brunch, lunch, and dinner BUT we tried it for Happy Hour this past week and found excellence once again. The flatbread pizzas were $6. I had the margherita and my cousin had the pepperoni - ate half and had half for leftovers. The white wine sangria was the best white sangria I have... More

Food was outstanding and service was particularly great. Food was tasty, fresh and presented very well. The lunch environment was perfect for a business lunch. If in the area with my family I would absolutely take them here. One of my favorite restaurants and I highly recommend it!

Our family frequents this restaurant often. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Each meal begins with wonderful babaganoush. The salmon salad, tenderloin, and are some of our favorites. Love to visit in nice weather and sit on the patio.

comfort food takes on a new meaning here. Mediterranean fare starts with hot crusty bread and babaganoush for dipping. greek, or maytag blue salad with carmelized pecans and pears, make a good second course, unless you go for the famous red chicken vegetable soup, which is a staple. my favorite is the bruschetta which comes with roasted garlic, goat cheese,...
