I stopped by one afternoon to get some chocolate and baked goods. Service was somewhat slow due to people who had to pay for their lunch. There was a long line of seniors who wanted to pay separately and held up the line. Personally, I feel they need to have a restaurant paying line different from people who just want... More

Finally found it hidden in a strip mall. Excellent chocolate treats and coffee. Didn't see any food, except some in containers to be microwaved. Best chocolate Ive ever eaten, $20.00 for 1/3 lb. There is a dessert case where chocolate lovers can buy individual treats. I'm not sure if you could call it a café. $1.50 per piece or more.

I grew up in England and love good food and dessert. I love this place...they have a daily fixed menu that rotates during the week. You get an entree, two sides, dessert and a drink (coffee, hot tea or ice tea) for around $15. They always have a cheese pie and quiche, which I love! The other two options vary... More

I have been eating at Andre's since I moved to Kansas City 25 years ago. It was $5.50 and the only location was on Main. Love that a branch opened up in Leawood. So sorry for them that the mall is doing remodeling as it was tough to have a nice lunch with workmen drilling away outside the window. It... More

We arrived for lunch around 1PM, and there were only 2 specials offered (plus sandwiches and salads), and we tried them both. One was a quiche (delectable flaky crust, yummy filling), and the other was a beef popover (pretty good, but not excellent). Both included some deliciously prepared vegetable sides. The lunch came with a beverage and dessert. We chose... More

We have been to Fauchon’s in Paris and absolutely loved it. However, Andre’s is far superior! Andre’s is basically a Swiss confiserie and frankly has the best pastries and chocolates one can find in the U.S. They also serve a wonderful lunch from 11:00AM to 2:30PM. The lunch menu is limited to two daily entree items. (You can find the... More

Restaurant was clean. Everyone was very gracious. Raspberry tea was splendid on a hot day. Had chicken breast with brown sauce over noodles. Very tasty. Beautiful fall decorated hazelnut dessert. Just what I expected from Andre's. :)

Love the Cheese Pie, Cheese Straws, fresh rolls and salads--their vinaigrette is wonderful. It's hard to walk by the beautiful dessert case without taking something home with you.

This has been around for ages and is worth the trip. They have three choices every day and all are delicious. Dessert and drink are included in your meal which now runs over $12 - it is a set price. Save room for the yummy dessert. Take your mom or favorite woman - she will love you for it.

Their lunches are tasty. Their chocolates are delicious - in the SWISS tradition. Their chocolates & chocolate desserts are wonderful, but my favorite thing from their pastry case is the Lemon Tartlet (unbelievable, since I'm a chocoholic). I love their almond cookies, too. Admittedly, I can't think of anything that I didn't like in their pastry case - it's all... More
