A co-worker of mine recommended Brobecks and he loves to eat. We ordered the Brisket and Pulled Pork sandwiches and they were lean and tasty. I also ordered the red beans and rice and it was outstanding. We had a sampler of the ham salad with crackers, which tasted great and we ordered a pound to go. Brobecks isn't fancy,... More

This has been our go-to BBQ place since it opened. I visited the first time with co-workers when they first opened, and the owner gave us a sample of their ham salad and some crackers to take with us. We thought it was a nice gesture, but no one was really a ham salad fan, so at first it didn't... More

My wife and I were in town and were looking for a new BBQ place. We normally go to Jack Stack but wanted something different. Trip Advisor reviews made us decide to try Brobeck's. We were not disappointed. Friendly service and a good dry rub flavor made our night. My wife said the burnt ends were great and the ribs... More

This is a great locally and family owned restaurant in Overland Park. Their homemade ham salad dip is excellent and should always be the start to a meal. The beef brisket and pulled pork are also very good, tasty with just the right amount of smoked flavor and not drenched in sauce. They have two house sauces that are good,... More

Stopped here after seeing the TA rating. Ribs were fantastic but wife and daughter thought John Russells had better pulled pork and burnt ends. Son was disappointed in the smoked wings, size was too small. Sides were above average. Would stop here if in area but won't drive out of the way to eat here. Plus limited house made sauce... More

It's hard to stand out in Kansas City, and you'll almost never hear Brobeck's mentioned on anyone's short-list of go-to places (at least not yet). However, after 2 visits I'm convinced you won't find better quality BBQ meat in the city. Regardless of your favorite style and/or sauce, i.e., dry rub, sweet, vinegar, spicy, etc, Brobeck's meat is the very... More

This restaurant is in an uninspiring strip mall but worth seeking out. The service is outstanding. Absolutely the best Carolina (mustard) sauce, hands down. Our server recommended mixing the Carolina with their red BBQ sauce, and the result is delicious! Have never before eaten smoked ham salad--wonderful stuff. It's near their circumferential highway, so it is easy to locate. Do... More

We have been regulars to Brobeck's BBQ for many years. This is NOT your average run-of-the-mill BBQ that is so typical of Kansas City. This is Tennesse style BBQ which is smoked to perfection after applying a dry rub. It is not served drowning in BBQ sauce like so many other restaurants. The meats here are delicious enough to eat... We found Brobecks several years ago, and it quickly became our " go to" spot for BBQ. Many of the menu items are excellent: baby back ribs, burnt ends, sliced roast beef, and BBQ beans. But - the unique and best is the smoked ham salad. That and corn nuggets are the only thing she eats, and then has to... More

Lucky for me - my brother in KC shared his top choice for barbecue -- and I agree. Brobecks in Overland Park emphasizes the quality and taste of the meat- it is incredibly good, and takes top place above all the other places I visited in KC over my last two visits. I am still a hardcore fan of Gates... More
