This little place has the best breakfast I've ever had. Great food, great ambiance, great people. You can't beat it especially in Manhattan, KS.

Best breakfast place in Manhattan. I like the breakfast burrito, but everything is good (expect the french toast). Expect a line. For lunch try their chicken pot pie.

Love the food here, from cool omelettes to B.E.L.T. (BLT w an egg!-my favorite) The salad with almond vinegrette is so delectable. Get there quick, they close at 2p!

Diverse menu with interesting combinations. Huge portions. There is often a pretty long wait on weekends. Good service

One of the few places to go to eat a decent breakfast. If you are planning on going here, either call ahead to get a reservation or get here early. The place is small and gets crowded quickly. The food is decent. There is room for improvement but its good.

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast one weekday morning and it was really good. So many great selections to choose from. We saw many plates of great selections around us that it was hard to choose. My husband settled on the basic breakfast of eggs (over medium), bacon, hash browns and wheat toast with the warm strawberry jam... More

I almost hate sharing this place, because I don't want to wait in a longer line next time. However, despite the wait for a table, this is worth every minute. Great menu selection in a cozy setting.

This is one of the most consistent breakfast places I have eaten at. The food is always fresh. Everyone always has a smile on their face -- even if it is super busy. When you have to wait the staff always asks if you want something to drink -- especially coffee on Sunday morning. You can get breakfast anytime [they... More

My wife and I visited The Chef on the day before Thanksgiving. Surprisingly, we managed to snag a table without a wait. My wife had been there before, I had not. I had heard almost unanimous praise for the place, so I was expecting good things. However, their tarted-up version of chicken fried steak was not to my liking. The... More

Be prepared to wait, because this the place for breakfast in Manhattan. If we have family in town, this is where we go for breakfast. This place would be a hit anywhere!
