The previous review said they were opening on February 15th but I was there this evening and they aren't open, yet. My rating is based on the previous location.

Hibachi Hut is under new ownership and the new location is 429 Poyntz. We went to the soft opening and you can expect great food! They are using recipes from each place (Cajun & southern). The decor is a mix of the traditional Hibachi Hut & their own touch. Go see for yourself how great it is!

Please note that the Hibachi Hut Restaurant, a part of the Aggieville scene for decades, closed for good on May 27, 2013. The name and recipes have been purchased by two individuals who intend to take the booths and the bar to another location to attempt to recreate this staple of Cajun food in Manhattan, KS. In it's place in... More

I was expecting hibachi food like green tea or umi's, but this is NOT a japanese restaurant. They don't cook in front of you and have no sushi or japanese style options on the menu. Just pointing that out for people who want that type of food, and were confused by the name. This is more burgers and homestyle creole.... More

Hibachi changed hands a few years ago and is now coming back into the spotlight as a great food destination. Their Cajun Bacon Shrimp is a favorite, and John's spicy shrimp is always good as well (I'm a wimp so I go with the butter sauce). Jambalaya still not quite as good as it was a few years back but... We stopped in for just a little something for lunch. I grew up in Manhattan and dont ever remember eating there. The service was outstanding. We had a bowl of gumbo and spicy shrimp entree. It was the most flavorful and spicy shrimp I've ever experienced!!! Simply Fantastic

Great salads. Nice place to eat at noon when visiting in Aggieville. Close to the Kansas State University. Food was served well and tasty.

Top 3 places in Aggieville to eat lunch/dinner. Food is always excellent, spices are wonderful and service is great.

Hibachi Hut is an old favorite from when I lived in Manhattan. They have expanded the restaurant, although I'm sure Texas Star is missed, I enjoyed the new roomier layout of the restaurant. We had the wings as an appetizer, they were very tasty. The shrimp po' boy was recommended and I was very happy with the choice. I enjoy... More

Loved the blackened burger and the atmosphere. Laid back, good and unique dining, at reasonable prices.
