The Silva family has been serving some of the best Mexican family recipes since I was a kid growing up in Manhattan. This isn't the Taco Tico junk, but hand made real food. The shredded beef and chicken are tasty and the pan fried taco's are the best I've ever eaten. I don't miss a chance to go whenever I... More

When the Hillside was in Ogden, the food and service were great. Unfortunately, it is not nearly as good since it moved to Manhattan. The service is "ok", but the food is not. It is definitely sub-par for Mexican cuisine. It tastes like it has been refrigerated for a week and heated in a microwave. We will NOT be going... More

I just ate there and the food was pretty gross. I'm pretty sure they microwaved everything. The guacamole was disgusting, like a baby poop puree. The big burrito was just Unseasoned roast beef and beans with chili on top. 0/10 will never go here again. Waste of money and a meal.

We enjoy eating at Hillside and have frequented the restaurant for many years. David treats his customers like friends coming into his home for a family gathering. We love the flour soft taco. I can't find it anywhere else. The guacamole is a different style than other restaurants serve but is tasty and unique. The fresh fried chips are a... More

I've always been fond of Hillside Café. They have such a friendly staff and great food. All food is homemade and very fresh. There are also great burgers and a variety of food for anyone's taste buds. I highly recommend trying to white flower tacos or tamales on Fridays or Saturdays. Great place to eat with fried ice cream as... More

Not really Mexican food. Not even close. They use Velveeta. Like a lot of other reviews, the locals think this is Mexican food. It isn't even close.

Very informal family restaurant tex-mex that is hard to beat. This is NOT one of the chain "Mexican" places with tons o' cheese food, manufactured tortillas and "free" chips from a bag and salsa from a can. Try the guacamole for an authentic sauce or with the home made chips.

I came back to the Cafe after a long time of not going; just out of my way. The Cafe was not crowded at all. The service was soooo slow; the waiter was not accomodating at all; the food was below average. For the money it was a huge disappointment!! I see no reason to go back
