I was in town for a few hours and wanted something better than fast food. This ended up being WAY better! They have a great selection of sandwiches and pastas, along with several choices of homemade dessert. I only wish I lived closer...this place would become a regular choice.

Firstly, it should be noted that this place is now The Family Bistro and the menu is quite different from Cafe Chilingo's. The Family Bistro is open from 7 AM to 2 PM. On Fri and Sat they stay open to 8 PM and add a dinner menu. I was there on a Tuesday afternoon at about 1 PM. I... More

Cafe Chilingo is a gem! The food is wonderful -- flavorful, fresh, locally sourced and beautifully prepared by the owner, Elena, who is delightful and attentive to food allergies without sacrificing texture/flavor. I'll definitely be back and am already telling people about this place!

I liked the food alright. I ordered a shrimp po boy but had four shrimp that were not peeled all the way. But for the unpeeled shrimp it would have been a good sandwich. The ambiance is not what I expected. I hoped for an eclectic feel but it was not.

Excellent food! BUT concerned about the quiche causing the paper it was served on to be eaten with the food. One hour to be served. The quiche on the black board was not the one we were served. Kept being promising the food would be right up. Server kept apologizing.

They have a new menu which includes a hot dog buffet which seemed interesting! We got the family dog and Chicago dog... Both were good but the family dog was amazing... French fries were also excellent and hand cut(a must!)

The food was excellent, but the price paid for the very small portions was way to high! I have no intenions on returning simply because of this factor.

Hi, Thank you for the Compliment about excellent food in your review. One of our goals is to always maintain the integrity of our product and not compromise the quality because of costs. Unfortunately there have been times when our learning curve has effected our customers as well as our bottom line. For example this week we offered a cherry... More

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the coney dog with Cinci chili, which was excellent. (Cinci chili is not like TX chili, so be prepared). Chili was fresh and there was plenty of cheese. They use Nathan hot dogs, which is also a plus (high quality). The menu is pretty large for a hot dog joint, so there... More
