Try another restaurant in the area. I dined with two other colleagues and we ordered 3 different dishes. All were uninspired and sub par.
Local Greek/Italian restaurant. The food is good and a tad on the plain side, which makes it popular with most except the most seasoned critics. The flaming cheese is a must order appetizer and is served with pita. Local family owned and operated and a mainstay in Lawrence in historic downtown.
Been in Lawrence forever, family owned, large vegetarian selection. I know it's Greek, but the Italian dishes are to die for, especially the lasagne... Wife loves the falafel, but my favorite is the potatoes and green beans. When in Lawrence go to the Mad Greek!!
While Christmas shopping we decided to do lunch at the Mad Greek restaurant. We have eaten there many times through the years and this was the second time in 6 months that the food was not very good. The green beans were over cooked and so mushy. They didn't taste flavorful at all. The Tzatziki tasted watered down. Doubt I... More
A family favorite and we haven't had any issues with overcooked or badly prepared food. Actually better Greek food than the famous "Diana" in Chicago, which says a lot. Gyros are very good and so is the calamari. Not the greatest atmosphere but if your mouth wants Greek, feed it here.
I love Mad Greek. They have great food. Staff are always nice. It's a quiet atmosphere. Always a great place to visit.
Stopped in Mad Greek at the start of Happy Hour. I ordered the vegetarian plate and my husband had a gyro sandwich. It was all good! Having been to Greece, I found the food very authentic. Looking forward to trying their Sunday brunch some time!

It's situated right in the middle of all the action on Massachusetts St., right in the heart of Lawrence. The atmosphere is exceptional, and my husband and I were given a nice booth next to... More
We love Greek food and were looking forward to visiting the Mad Greek in Lawrence. It had been recommended by a few friends. We arrived at 9:00 pm and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Our meal took 40 minutes to arrive. The falafel texture was all wrong-clumpy and gooey inside, almost burnt outside. The gyro meat... More
Delicious Greek dishes in a small café with atmosphere. Right on Massachusetts Street. Has been at this spot for years. (Also has none Greek selections.
