Have been several times for excellent, think burgers, fun atmosphere but we're addicted to those duck fat fries. Or should we say all those unique sauces for the fries. All are unusual, but wonderful combinations. Our favorite? The marshmallow cream sauce for those fries.

A hole in the wall on Mass St. In Lawrence, with large tasty burgers, great fries, and a wide variety of sauces. Definitely worth a visit.

Hoping to beat the crowd we arrived at 4:30pm for an early dinner....so much for beating the crowd! This place was hopping! We scoped the place out while in line and Matt found us a table for me to snag while he placed our order. It was busy enough that we observed at least one couple of patrons ask some others... More

As many, many visitors may have experienced in downtown Lawrence, the staff at most of the local places make little-to-no attempt to serve customers in a welcoming or non-pretentious atmosphere. By walking into the Burger Stand, you may suspect the same kind of service given the laid back mood of the place. However, look closely and you'll see that guests... More

You can upgrade your burger to Kobe beef for a few $ more and it is well worth it, delicious beef! They have different kinds of fries and they are delicious and you get a lot for your money. They also have many different types of dipping sauces to choose from and the atmosphere is great. Their corndogs and chicken... More

The burgers are good and tasty on a nice bun. There is a good selection of flavored sauces for the fries. Onion rings are good also. They have a marshmallow flavored dip which would be good on the sweet potato fries. The service is strange, you order at the bar and then pick-up your food at a little window near... More

My boyfriend and I stopped here late in the evening after a concert on a weekday night, they were one of the only places open so late serving food. We got the Kobe burger and the Barnyard Bash. Both were delicious and full of flavors. We also got the duck fat fries, which were good too. The reason why I... More

The burger was outstanding, but so was the chicken (Jayhawk) breast. We had lunch here on a non-busy day. The food and the atmosphere were good. However, the restrooms were smelly. Need to use a clean mop and some Clorox and a little elbow grease. Would I go back...sure. This advice is coming from a Missouri Tiger fan to Kansas... More

If you like burgers but crave something just a little different then The Burger Stand would be the perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner. There are so many gourmet burgers to choose from but my favorite is anything that includes Bleu Cheese! Also, the fries are extraordinary! Hot and flavorful every time! Be sure to try the Duck... I've eaten here a few times at the request of friends. It's not a place I would normally go. Burgers are more than I like to spend. They are good but the price and the atmosphere have me looking elsewhere.
