I can't believe I have to write a review like this in my hometown. We visited at noon on a Friday. There were still empty tables. Waited over 30 minutes with one visit from the water. Took our order within 10 minutes, brought water. We finally left without any trace of food or drinks. Even after 2 tables who were... More

I really enjoyed this place, the atmosphere really did represent what Global was. They have different flags on the ceiling which I appreciated (I like to travel quite a bit). There was a lot of variety representing different styles of food. I had the bacon, avocado, Monterrey cheese omelet, and was it delicious! The bacon was thick cut and definitely... More

I love Global Café, partly because I can have breakfast at lunch any day of the week. They used locally sourced food and it's a quiet, cozy place for a meal. A friend was in from out of town and asked another friend and me in separate emails where to get breakfast that was a hippy type place like he'd... More

Had breakfast on 10/27/13. I had the spicy shrimp omelet, my daugther had the breakfast burrito. Both were really good. Beware the sauce on the burrito--it is spicy! Service was excellent and unhurried. Will definitely go back and try lunch items.

I have been at the restaurant the last two Sundays. The food is always good. The service leaves a lot to be desired. The waiter took my order served the food bit never returned to the table again.

I was soaked when I arrived at Global café that Sunday morning, but my veggie omelet was warm and so delicious! My boyfriend had the breakfast quesadilla, and really liked it, too. He had eaten there before and said that everything was good. I can't wait to go back and try something from the lunch menu. Remember quarters for the... More

My wife and I together with some of our children went to Global Cafe in Lawrence, KS not knowing what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. Each of us had a different breakfast selection and shared together. Everything was fantastic! We went back a few days later for lunch. There were several items off menu that were very creative... The Brazilian Omelette was wonderful. The toast was ? two thin pieces of dry bread and the heel too. No butter in sight. I asked the waitress if people eat that toast? She said back to me, "you don't like the toast?" I'm glad I ordered one pancake on the side. Wish they had "real" maple syrup instead of corn... More

Cozy, hospitable restaurant open only for breakfast and lunch. Offers some unusual South American and Central American dishes. But i opted for "The Classic", 2 eggs, potatoes, sausage (chosen over bacon & ham) and toast with coffee. Although the eggs were slightly over cooked for my taste, they were more than offset by the home fries potatoes. Those were seasoned... More
