Visited this restaurant twice over a 3 week span. Once it was busy, other time not so much. Beer is very good - waitress was knowledgeable and helpful with descriptions. Food is good, especially for a brewery. Service was good; food came hot. I had the Cajun Pasta with their hottest spice and would choose it again. Their fried pickles... More

One hour for food service. My Son had a steak there the previous night that was excellent, and upon this visit it was like rubber. The server was really sweet about the delay, but this place may need a restaurant rescue. Nothing special, but huge portions of mediocre food that took forever to arrive.

We eat at 23rd Street frequently. The food is always good and the service is as well. We often bring people here because it's a fun atmosphere and everyone can find something that will satisfy on the menu. Everyone is always surprised by how much food you get. Great value!

Have eaten at this restaurant many times and have always had a really good meal and great service at a very reasonable price. Great atmosphere anytime. Fun place to eat appetizers while watching a good game on one of their many TV's as well. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good place to eat in Lawrence. We will... More

Visiting friends in Lawrence, who took us here. We had the Sicilian pizza, we liked the thin hand tossed crust. You can also customize the pizza with different ingredients with out added cost. Will come here again when we are visiting this area. Lots of parking places.

Ate here with family members- very fast service, atmosphere is like an upscale sports bar but nicer with lots of TV's. Artichoke cheese dip appetizer was great. Hubby got the BLT sandwich- HUGE!! I had turkey sandwich- very good. If you order anything spicy got- be prepared for burning heat. I would recommend this for casual dining, good local brews... More

I visited in early May, '13, and felt very much "at home" in this establishment! It's a micro-brewery and has a menu that would make anyone smile. The young lady, who greeted us was warm and friendly. The service was outstanding. Lawrence is a college town, with lots of atmosphere and the brewery was a great place to eat lunch.... More

I visited on 4/18/13, and as I walked in to this restaurant/bar, I felt like I was a local. Lots of people around, locally brewed beer, and amazing smells coming from the kitchen. TVs at every angle, and memorabilia everywhere. I was recommended here by an office manager of an apartment complex. I only regret not asking her earlier in... More

Their Twelve Double IPA was excellent. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. This is a microbrewery in a college town, and even though it was a Friday night during Christmas vacation, the place was packed, and by the time that we left there was a nice wait to get seated. I had not been to this... More

Chose the 23rd St. Brewery as finish to a busy day of sight seeing of Kansas City after arriving back in Lawrence. It was a short drive from our motel and after sampling their beer at another establishment the night before decided that we needed to visit them in person. Arrived during Sunday night football so the place was packed.... More
