We went to try the new buffet and sample the Vietnamese food. My son and wife loved it too. Select from 10 different soups, ingredients and noodle soups to start. They were very good . This restaurant is tucked away in the popular Westport district. I would have never gone there if a friend hadn't taken me there - "Vietnamese" just didn't sound up my alley. I was very wrong. This is wonderful, fresh, affordable food and has become my husband and I's favorite restaurant in the city. They serve rice noodle bowls (called "Bun")... more

Our family loves Vietnamese food and were very excited when we happened upon this quaint little restaurant in the Westport district of KC. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service is expeditious and friendly. But it's the food that has us continuing to make the 60 mile roundtrip dinner excursion time and time again. Consistent quality is Sung Son's mainstay.... more

It has a great decor on the inside and a simplistic menu that doesn't overwhelm the consumer. They have great noodle bowls that are very simple, not too different - so even the pickest palet will enjoy their food!
