When your visiting a city who's known for 3 things and the top one is BBQ you assume there will be good food. but when every local talks about the same place like it's 20 times better than anything else... You have to go. We drove from MO to Kansas to get "OK Joe's" because the closer on had a... More

Burnt ends amazing! Waited in line for an hour - kind of fun to talk to other guests in the line, grabbed a couple of beers while we were waiting. My hubby had the Z Man Sandwich & I had burnt ends. Flavor and tenderness the best I've had. Very friendly service too. This is a must stop if you... More

It was pretty good BBQ. We got there and the line was long. After a few minutes we decided that we would get a to go order. I went to the counter and it was for phone orders only. (many pickup orders but lots of downtime, boss' son?) So I called and they said I could get my order in... More

We went for lunch & the line wasn't too long. The line does move very fast. I got the z man sandwich & my husband got a turkey sandwich. Both were really good. We shared an order of fries & they were some of the best fries I've ever had. We will definitely be back.

This place is worth waiting 2 hours in line for. Pulled Pork sandwich with spicy coleslaw is my all time favorite.

That's right, I said gas station. This great barbeque place is inside one on Mission Rd. The "Z man" sandwich and the burnt ends are super. The pulled pork alone, is worth the wait. The french fries are served in a very generous portion and are seasoned wonderfully. Ask Anthony Bourdain what he thinks. I believe it is in his... More

This is my first review of OK Joe's though I lived in Kansas City for a few years. Many, but not all, locals will recommend Joe's over other local places. Joe's is "the one in the gas station" literally as there are pumps outside and gas station convenience store in front of the restaurant. This gives it some character but,... More

The lines are long but the wait is worth it for there BBQ especially on Saturdays if they have there burnt ends available.

We read on Tripadvisor about this place and other reviews highly touting it, so this was our first stop right off the plane. Without question, this is the place for barbeque. We waited in line outside in the heat for an hour and 20 minutes, but it was well worth it. Great ribs. Great burnt ends. Friendly staff.Definitely the place... More
