My buddy were in town for Planet Comicon and stopped by the original location in the gas station. We're from OK and know good BBQ, and I only feel a little bad saying this is the best BBQ I've ever had in 36 years. With OK BBQ roots, no less (I hear they're phasing out the "Oklahoma" in their name).... More

My husband and I planned this as a dinner stop on our trip across the country. It was well worth it! The ribs and brisket were succulent and delicious! The BBQ flavor was one of the best I have ever had. Portion size was well worth the price. I love that it is housed in an old garage, it adds... More

I'm not going to repeat all the accolades other reviewers have posted. They are all true. Just go and plan to wait in line for a while, soak up the atmosphere of the place, and have some of the best barbecue in your life. I washed mine down with some PBR. It just doesn't get any better. I thought hard... More

I can't comment on the place, but our friends picked up take-out for lunch, and it was great. I had the Z sandwich, my son had ribs. Great BBQ. I see why it rates so high.

After hearing years of hype, I decided to put it to the test. Pulling up to the location, it looks like a gas station - i'd have no idea there is bbq being served here. But as you step out of your car, you almost get the smoky taste on your tongue and you know something delicious is inside. Walk... More

Joe's is simply the best KC BBQ. Ribs, brisket, chicken, pork...you name it, Joe's is outstanding. The precision they use in preparing their meats is meticulous, and their sauce is amazing.

Trying out new restaurants in the area and hit up Joe's over the weekend. The food was good but the portions were a little small. I will probably eat there again.

I've had barbecue in Memphis, Kansas City, the Carolina's, and Texas. This is number-one on my list, all-time. The original location, it's in a gas station. Expect a long line. Expect the best you've ever had. You won't be disappointed. I recommend the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and whatever else sounds good to you.
