Out of towners. This is a nice little place to eat. The food and service was great. Would eat here again if back in town.

We went here for breakfast and sat right at the counter. It was really neat to watch everyone in this old timey diner. The breakfast was awesome! I loved this place. You can't go wrong pickin this diner at least for breakfast.

I've been eating at Skaets since the late 1950's and the restaurant has been a fixture in Hutchinson ten years longer than that. As it was the first time that I ate there, the food is always great, the prices right, and has some of the most accomodating and just "fun" servers in town. It can be frenetic during rush... More

This place has been around for years and oozes charm. Solid food at a decent value. You cannot go wrong with this Main Street Hutchinson, Kansas classic.

I ate at Skaets for breakfast. Skaets is across the street from the local State Fair grounds on Main Street. I had fair service. I ate the pork steak and egg dish for my breakfast and paid $10 including tip and without a drink. It was too much for me to eat leaving half of everything. The pork, 3/4 "... More

We travel to Ks. twice a year to visit family but have not stopped to eat at Skates for years, so we decided to stop in for lunch. It is still the best burger in town. The staff is great and the price is right. Don't be fooled by the looks it's been there since 1948 and still going strong.

Down home style breakfast of pancakes and eggs, bacon, coffee. Friendly atmosphere and waitstaff. This place has been around a very long time!

Limited menu selection but steak was good. Basic steak and taters or breakfast menu. Pretty packed house when I was there, appears pretty popular with local crowd.

Their specialty is the Moonburger, which is a bacon cheeseburger. It's fantastic! You also get the choice if you'd like it cooked on the grill or over charcoal. The fries taste and look like their fresh cut and NOT greasy at all! Skaets is a quaint little diner! The locals seem to love it, so you may want to steer... More

Great breakfast place and served all day. Homemade hashbrowns and French fries. Small place so sometimes a wait for a table. Just a little diner but good food.
