I've been eating at Vernies since I was a kid. They always have friendly service and great food. I think a couple of the others reviews are trashing Vernies just to make their crappy restraunts look good. I've been to the Q, the food is alright but it takes forever. Vernies is better by far.
Has the old time drive in appearance, although you need to walk inside to eat here. Burgers are made fresh, and are decent sized. Good value for your money, and great taste. Better than McDonalds or Burger King, and juicier than Freddie's.
Their meat is absolutely disgusting. its like institutional food . Which probably explains why most of their clientele look like nursing home residents..go downtown to them golden q ..
