We ate here at the suggestion of the hotel staff where we were staying in Hays. We stayed at the Best Western right next door. We had initially thought we would go across the highway to another restaurant and staff suggested El Dos De Oros. We are very glad we did. I had shrimp fajitas and Tom had tamales and... More

I don't think my tamales had any meat in then at all. I did not like the beans and my husband did not like the rice. His steak was unevenly cooked but flavorful

All I can say is yummy!!! I have ate at a lot of Mexican reatraunts and have experienced real authentic mexican and this is a really good place to eat. Service was fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. Will be going back most definitely when we are Hays. This coming from a person who does not like to eat out. Cooked... More

Easy access off the highway and great food! And prompt service. Our party from Grandparents down to grandkids was very happy with the outing. Visited over a year ago and was happy to see they were still in business and apparently well loved by people in Hays.

The sauce is really good and different. We had a good portion from the lunch fajitas. We usually stop at Applebee's as we drive through but this was faster and taste great.

We eat at El dos De Oros quite often and really love it. Anything you buy is excellent and fully authentic we are told - by those who know. The place was packed, but they had plenty of food and good service. The tables and chairs there are hand-painted and really cute and colorful.

Thought we'd never find Mexican food to match what we enjoyed living in San Diego. Dos de Oros is every bit as good, but less expensive. Located in a nondescript strip mall, it's a bit hard to find but so worth it! Carne Asada tacos, the "America" (cheese enchiladas topped w/chicken and cheese) and Enchiladas Suizas are hard to beat.... More

This was a nice restaurant with good food. The ingredients were fresh and the dishes were varied and well-made. My husband has rather high standards and I only heard positive comments regarding the experience. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Fresh, well prepared food. Clean restaurant and nice folks. Guacamole salad was just shredded taco lettuce, guac, cheese and a slice of tomato. Nothing special but it was still good and the ingredients were fresh and it was a nice portion size. Tacos and burritos were good. Beef was a little salty but otherwise well spiced and not greasy at... More

This is a small, but popular place. It was busy, but we got a table right away. Good quality Mexican food!
