Only open for breakfast and lunch. What they do, they do very very well. The standard menu has a great deal of variety, and the monthly/weekly/daily specials are always a treat. All bread is fresh baked daily! People who enjoy sweets rave about the cinnamon rolls and brownies.

A perfect lunch spot for our road-weary family. Fantastic kids meals and large sandwiches. Freshly baked breads! Too bad we didn't have time and space for dessert.

Stopped for lunch and had sandwiches. It's a small place with a number of small tables. Homemade bread --- the sunflower bread was great. Good portions. In the Kress building and has nice setting and clean bathroom.

The owner is also the baker and produces excellent baked goods along with a good selection of sandwiches, soups and lunch items. Amanda is a great hostess. Although it is small it is worth the stop.

Amanda's is a great place to get sandwiches and soup with attention to detail and on home made bread!

If we hadn't been directed here by tripadvisor, we wouldn't have found this gem. Chicken salad is special and the bread is outstanding.

I was traveling through & wanted chicken salad, they make their own & it is GOOD! I was encouraged to place my order & did. Very glad, because the sign was up that they were out when I arrived. Obviously a great local place. Very friendly & clean & just a 2 minutes off I - 35. Local is so... More

We were warned not to show up past 11:45, and we heard this from the regulars leaving at noon when we arrived. Line to the door, 20+ deep. Ran out of my first choice, and part of my second. Good food though -- great bread, fresh ingredients. Worth the stop if you are patient.

Situated in downtown Emporia, Amanda's offers a wonderful selection of sandwiches, soup, and desserts. The food did not disappoint. The sandwiches served on fresh breads come with plenty of fixings and delicious ingredients. The "chicken salad" was superb, and my son's club sandwich was also excellent. I ordered a bowl of Tomato Basil with my sandwich. The soup was rich,... More

This is a small sandwich shop in downtown. The day we went they were only able to take cash as their machine to process bank and credit cards were down. We were hoping for a breakfast but they only offer cinnamon rolls and they couldn't heat them up cause the microwave was broken. We ended up leaving because the only... More
