Good value lunch in a pleasant atmosphere

Went here for lunch with my wife. They had a deal on - 2 courses for £9.95 per person. We both had the same order, deep fried brie with cranberry dip followed by homemade burger and chips. The brie was good, though portions a little small and they were very well done. Cranberry dip was lovely... read more

We are frequently come here for meals and have never been disappointed!! Both Carvery and normal menu is always hot and fresh, with plenty of variety! Carvery has so many different veg and meat to choose from and the pudding counter is also just as amazing!! Me and a friend went for a Carvery last night and we couldn't fault... More

I do worry about recommending the Plough and Harrow at Drakes Broughton. The carvery is faultless, superb value and certainly the best carvery available in the UK. Local produce is used and the chef is one of the best. My worry, of course, is that my review will encourage others to go along, and I weill have trouble getting a... More

My wife and I are celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary this year, and we chose to go to the Plough and Harrow. We both had Sirloin steaks which were lovely, and a whole plate full of veg, chips, mushrooms and onion rings. The food was well cooked, presented well, and hot. We both enjoyed our meals. The starters were really... More

Living locally we have been here several times for a carvery and normally leave satisfied. Last night though it wasn't up to scratch. The card machine was playing up which couldn't be helped, but the girl that served us the bar was obviously struggling a bit and looked flustered. We ordered drinks and two carveries and after taking payment went... More

Returned to The Plough and Harrow today for another carvery; my mum had the veggie fish and chips. First class carvery, fabulous veggie option, excellent service and good value. The dauphinois potatoes and the red cabbage are divine and the beef melts in your mouth. Only wish I'd left room for pudding! Will return next time I'm in the area.

A wonderful pub in the center of the countryside. I recommend stopping in for a drink, with clean beers & a good choice you can relax with a refreshing pint in the garden.

Our party of seven had a lovely Sunday lunch. On a Sunday you can only have the carvery, I am not a lover of roast meals but I must say the turkey it was very good. Plenty of choice of meats and endless vegetables to suit all tastes. A very busy pub. We will be going again at the end... More
