Brought my team of staff here for works Xmas meal. All staff efficient and polite, well spoken and polite as well as attentive. Garlic mushroom starter was delicious and the Carvery was highly commendable. Great variety of vegetables, a good serving of various meats, all cooked to perfection. My only negative was I had booked the table and supplied the... More

Quite a busy pub offering a great carvery with bar meal options too. The food is excellent however getting served at the bar for drinks is often very slow it appears they don't employ enough bar staff so get your drinks before you go to the carvery to avoid cold food.

We have been here 3 times to eat and each time we have had the best carvery ever. At least 14 different vegetables, 3 lovely meats and the most delicious desserts. It can get very busy even at the beginning of the week, so always book a table. We will certainly be going again very soon to try the steaks... More

Eight of us, including one, disabled, wheel-chair, user, went for our annual Christmas get-together, today. The meal was well up to its usual excellent standard, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Thank you all, it was a truly enjoyable experience which has set us up for the festive season. Best... More

Have known this pub/restaurant on and off for over 40 years...it moves with the times and now has a very good carvery( after 6pm) as well as full menu. It is very popular so it's best to book. The last twice we have gone we have been too early for the carvery and had steak...delicious and the onion rings are... More

Utterly delicious! The carvery here really does offer everything anyone could want. A choice of succulent joints - beef, pork, gammon, and Turkey - tender, tasty and cooked to perfection. Portions are generous. And the pork crackling is crisp and golden. A fabulous array of vegetables, again all cooked perfectly - carrots, leeks, cabbage, roast parsnips. New or roast potatoes,... I think it is fair to say that the Plough & Harrow have had their fair share of criticism. It is refreshing to see that it hasn't gone unnoticed by the owners/managers. I was looking for somewhere a little bit special to take the family for a Sunday meal and was dubious when I read some of the reviews which... More

I used to go here quite often with my family, always good service and lovely food. The pub itself is very pretty, if you are looking for a great pub lunch in a nice setting this is the place for you.

We booked a table for 11 for a Sunday carvery and also to celebrate a 30th birthday. Upon arrival we had trouble getting in because where they have the carvery situated it's near enough by the entrance and the queue was huge with customers waiting for their food. But we asked where our table was but wasn't shown just told... More
