We visited as a group of 20 for a works party. The staff, particularly the manageress were all friendly and helpful, the pub itself is charming and traditional and the gardens on a nice evening are a good size. We plumped for a two courses for £9.95 and most of us went for the carvery. I have to say it... More

A very attractive country Pub, plenty of parking, spacious dining room and a good menu. But poorly trained staff and sloppy service spoilt what could have been a very nice lunch. It is sad to see investments made in the infrastructure which are wasted by not investing in the people who run the enterprise. This has been a really good... More

They squeezed us into an hour's time slot as they were booked out (which we thought was a good sign). Fair number of locals too, again a good sign. Carvery was fantastic in quality and quantity and at £9.95 for 2 courses is fantastic value. Lovely desserts which can be taken away as we did as we ran out if... More

This pub is owned by the same people who run the Oak at Broadwas so we had high expectations. We werent disappointed and the menu was virtually identical to the Oak. 2courses for 9.95 or 3 for 11.95. Good quality food served by polite waitresses. Perfect for a Tuesday night. The pub itself has a nice atmosphere with a modern... More

I don't usually like Carvery food, but this is soooo good, you can't help but pile our plate up, feel embarrassed about the amount of food you have but still manage to eat it. Excellent value for money and well worth a visit

Went here for lunch with my wife. They had a deal on - 2 courses for £9.95 per person. We both had the same order, deep fried brie with cranberry dip followed by homemade burger and chips. The brie was good, though portions a little small and they were very well done. Cranberry dip was lovely with big whole fruits... More

We are frequently come here for meals and have never been disappointed!! Both Carvery and normal menu is always hot and fresh, with plenty of variety! Carvery has so many different veg and meat to choose from and the pudding counter is also just as amazing!! Me and a friend went for a Carvery last night and we couldn't fault... More

I do worry about recommending the Plough and Harrow at Drakes Broughton. The carvery is faultless, superb value and certainly the best carvery available in the UK. Local produce is used and the chef is one of the best. My worry, of course, is that my review will encourage others to go along, and I weill have trouble getting a... More
