Amazing 2 or 3 course offer

They do a fabulous deal in the week, two courses for £10, or three for £12. Starters at the moment include creamy mushrooms or pulled pork both served on ciabatta bread, with a very nice side salad and some of the best coleslaw I've ever had! Very large starter! Mains include 8oz steak... read more

We often go for our carvery there, good value for a family sunday lunch, the choice of veg is great and the kids love their sunday roasts

The best fish and chips anywhere either in a restaurant or fish and chip shop, and you get carrots as well as peas. Food always hot on hot plates and plenty of it.

Average experience but won't be doing it again as thought when you paid over £60 a head it would include perhaps a drink on arrival or at the very least a coffee but we had to pay extra !!

Had left it a bit late to book up for Christmas day this year so I was pleased we were fitted in. On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our table. Starters came out pretty quickly as we had previously ordered. Then we were told when we could go up for our carvery which as usual was delicious. Pigs... More

Two different visits in December and January were spoilt by poor service from waiting staff. The food was fine but lack of attention and extra service was sadly lacking on both occasions. We were not shown to our table, nor did we get any attention once the food had been served. We had to call to a passing waitress in... More

We popped into The Plough & Harrow for lunch, it's our first time here so wasn't sure what to expect! At first impression yes nice looking country inn. We ordered some drinks and then asked about eating, the lady behind the bar looked like she was put out when we told her we wanted to eat buyer did get a... More

Went for a meal with a group of 8. We had the 3 course carvery meal. The starters were large, hot and delicious. I would recommend the mushrooms in garlic, cream sauce. Take your pick at the well stocked and constantly replenished carvery. Choice of 3 meats or sample a little of each. The food was plentiful and I opted... More

The crowd control has vastly improved here since our last visit over a year ago, much more orderly and peaceful. Food is nice and so are deserts. One suggestion I would make is allow tables to be reserved for 1 hr 45 mins and then you are not constantly rushing people out when there is only 15 mins left. You... More
