I do love my food, and this place certainly delivers. Had a starter and a main, but couldn't eat all my main due to the portion sizes. But not that they confuse quality with quantity - the food was very good. I would say they are averagely priced for the area. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even the... More

We have been to The March Hare quite a few times and have never been disappointed, we have had the carvery meal, eat as much as you want, the meats are well cooked and the veg is lovely and a wide range of it so fill your plates and enjoy

This was my first visit to this pub and restaurant but I shall go back in the near future even though it's 15 miles from home. I called with my group of 20 senior walkers after our fortnightly walk and we were made to feel very welcome. The pub was very busy, a good sign, but we waited only a... More

Excellent carvery with always 3 meats and plenty of variety of vegetables. Always hot & replenished constantly. Cater for my gluten free making separate gravy for me & advice if any sauces contain gluten. If you notify that you are a Ceoliac when you book they usually make a sweet for you. Very friendly & efficient staff. Price is great... More

The three of us decided that to end a wet August Bank Holiday Weekend we would have a meal at the March Hare. We only had main courses but all three were brilliant! The portions were more than adequate, well cooked and well presented. We enjoyed the Gammon, Belly Pork and Ham, Egg & Chips, obviously one each!!! Can't wait... More

We visited today (Sunday) around lunch time, the place was very busy but very friendly, got served within about 5 minutes and the choice of vegetables on the carvery was second to non. We didn't have a dessert but they looked fabulous. We'll definitely be returning soon

Came here recently for the carvery been once or twice in the past, when ordering the carvery and a couple of drinks the staff behind the bar seemed to rush me to make a decision on the drinks. When finishing the carvery and going up for a desert which are displayed in a clear cabinet, I got spoken down to... More

My husband and I have visited this place twice, for lunch about a year ago and for dinner this week. Both times the place was pretty busy for midweek. My husband had the carvery and I had lamb shoulder from the specials menu for twice the price, but still only £12. Service was good and staff polite explaining how carvery... More

This is a nice place to have a carvery, the food is nicely presented with a good selection of meat and veg ( mind the plates are HOT and the food ) It's not over priced and the staff are friendly. Large car park. Can recommend and we will be returning again.

We've been coming here with my parents for awhile now and the food and service used to be pretty good, but it seems to have gone down hill in the last 6 months, food tastes as if it has been left to stew at the carvery station and I have even found a hair in the vegetables, when I pointed... More
