Great popular carvery. Book in advance at busy times

Visited many happy times but just noticed on trip advisor that I had not reviewed. This is a very good carvery and they do produced a great vegetable counter consistently. You might think I am silly to mention vegetables at a carvery but in my opinion this is where most carveries fail... read more

Went for lunch midweek. Typical carvery pub. Service was very acceptable and quality of food average.Very good value and therefore the average age was 70. It seems that all the OAP's go there for their weekly blowout ! Nothing wrong with that, I am one. Not the sort of pub if you want some freshly cooked food and ambience. Lovely... More

You might think I am silly to mention vegetables at a carvery but in my opinion this is where most carveries fail spectacularly. March Hare replaced tired vegetables and has... More

We have had numerous carvery's here and the food and service are always the same, excellent! They do not skimp on the variety of vegetables and meat and it is always piping hot. I usually have gluten free gravy and it is delicious the service is quick and the staff eager to please.

We had a family evening meal mid week, 3 meals were from the menu and 1 carvery meal, everyone was happy with their meals, service was good, they tell you when the rest of the order is ready so that you can go and get your carvery meal at the same time and the carvery was great. As a coeliac... More

We went to the March hare for a family meal and I had a sirloin steak, it was gorgeous. One thing to improve, at no point did someone come to see if everything was alright with our meals but this was no major because all of our meals were lovely!

We tried this restaurant by chance. There is low step at entrance but a wooden temporary ramp is located just inside the door, which may also need to be used for the second low step. Inside we saw numerous people with mobility issues enjoying their £6 August special Carvery lunch. There was a vast choice of fresh vegetables and 3... More

I was persuaded to try this restaurant by my sister who had recently had a carvery there. I was not disappointed! the food is, quite simply, the best i have ever tasted! It was presented fresh, beautiful and tasted amazing. I also ordered a Jug of Pimms and it was perfect! The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are really pleasant... More

Went there with my family and really enjoyed the food. Had a very big plate. Three different kinds of meat. Yorkshire pudding and lots of veggies. The staff were very kind, asked to taste a different cider and was offered the tasting for free. Would definitely go back. Yummy experience.
