Wonderful lunchtime Carvery!

Just returned from a wonderful lunchtime carvery at the March Hare. Years since I last went there. The outside looked so beautiful with troughs and baskets of flowers everywhere. I took a friend here after a hospital visit and although it was 2 o'clock the carvery looked very fresh and appetising... read more

This is a must try carvery, great choice of veg and meats and if you have room try a sweet you wont be disappointed. Good atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. and reasonably priced. Book a table as it is very busy on a Sunday.

The March Hare is a splendid example of great food, drink and friendly, welcoming staff. Service is quick and helpful each and every time we have come here. The carvery is always superb and the vegetables are fresh and crunchy. If you don't wish to have the carvery, there are other fantastic options available. If you're looking for a great... More

My husband and I visited the UK this year and was driving around when we spotted a pub and thought that it would be nice to have a drink and something to eat. My husband recognized this pub as one of the pubs his parents used to go too, and later on his family. The carvery is to die for,... More

Good reviews attracted me to this pub when organising a large family get together. From the outside, the pub looked like a typical chain, and the inside was uninspiring. Large, fairly characterless and a little bit jaded. The young, mainly female staff though were confident, efficient and friendly. But the carvery? Wow. The turkey, pork and beef were brilliantly cooked... More

We took are mothers here for a motherday surprise meal. The cavery here is to die for, the small standing by to wait your turn is nothing as you prepare for asking for a bit of each on the meat and the amount you get is amazing. Very friendly staff and you are not rushed to get the next people... More

Called in for a quick lunch on a Monday, very quiet (usually it's always packed) No lunchtime carvery but the normal menu was available, we had sirloin steak and the tarragon chicken. The steak comes with huge onion rings! Everything was lovely and of course the cakes cabinet was full up so finished off with a yummy mint choc torte.... More
