I was very late making our booking for a lunch for 4. The date I'd chosen was obviously very busy, but they managed to fit us in quite late. On arrival I understood why, a coach in the carpark! However just as we were leaving our cars people started to get on board. Inside it was still very busy, but... More

After the rave reviews on TA decided to drive over with friends on Sunday to try the carvery, we were not disappointed, excellent meats that melted in the mouth and well cooked vegetables and sauces. Would we recommend it, absolutely, the only slight criticism was the long queue (20mins) to get served, which was exacerbated by having only one chef... More

Called in for lunch at the carvery with seven other old codgers from Probus. Expected to pay £6.99 but several days a week including Wednesday it is two for £10. Excellent value for money with beef, pork and turkey or all three. Help yourself to wide choice of vegetables which were not over-cooked and included dauphinoise potatoes and cauliflower cheese.... This is the fifth time of visiting and the food and service do not change. They are both excellent. Went with friends who wanted to try the carvery after I had been praising it for so long. I have praised other places and when visiting with friends or family have been disappointed but I felt confident with the March Hare... More

do not want to gush but I can feel one coming, a Birthday treat by my Mother and it was to be a carvery, excellent. Where I now live, Florida, they do not have anything like this so this was indeed a treat. The meats, excellent, the vegetable selection, varied and excellent so too the gravy and incredibly warm plates,... More

I do love my food, and this place certainly delivers. Had a starter and a main, but couldn't eat all my main due to the portion sizes. But not that they confuse quality with quantity - the food was very good. I would say they are averagely priced for the area. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even the... More

We have been to The March Hare quite a few times and have never been disappointed, we have had the carvery meal, eat as much as you want, the meats are well cooked and the veg is lovely and a wide range of it so fill your plates and enjoy
