Very impressive Carvery meal with lots of freshly cooked vegetables. Only let down is sometimes if it is busy the que blocks a lot of the space but the quality of the food more than makes up for this. So I would recommend booking a table. But overall a very nice place to stop off for good food.

We stopped for lunch , decided not to have the carvery but a la carte, Whitebait to start with slightly too crisp but pleasant . Main course liver and onions for me , plenty of nicely cooked liver , gravy rather watery, not enough mashed potatoes, veg very well cooked just right not undercooked and hard i.e al dente ,as... This is the 3rd time we have eaten here, staff are always friendly & helpful, always looks clean & welcoming, only ever tried the carvery which is excellent with a choice of 12 veg pork, beef & turkey or have a some of each, it is always piping hot and freshly cooked, there are usually around 12 desserts to choose from,... This is probably one of the most generous carvers you will find. With 3 meats to choose from and 12 varieties of veg this isn't for the faint hearted... The food is nice for the price but wouldn't beat a well made Sunday roast as it's focused more on quantity than quality. However cover it up with their gravy or... More

We visited this lovely looking restaurant recently, having prompted by the reviews on this site and sadly were very disappointed. the exterior is very inviting and parking is good. However, once you're in, they've got you and then its all about taking your money and sending you on your way! To say that the bar service is abrupt/rude just about... More

Went with family on bank holiday monday, usually gets pretty busy, so advisable to book. The staff are friendly, good menu and the carvery is same standard as usual - excellent.

I've been to March Hare on three occasions but tried their carvery only during my last visit about a month ago. Atmosphere was nice and friendly though I'd prefer placing my order at my table rather than waiting to be served at the bar. Price wise you cannot go wrong, it's a good value for money. As for the food,... More

Love this place! The food is amazing. We love the carvery here but the menu food is brilliant. The rib and chicken combo they have on special is outstanding if you are lucky enough to visit when they are doing it. Should be on the menu! The staff are great and though it does get very busy standard never slip.... More
