Great BBQ in a quaint family friendly place!

We discovered this little gem using the app Field Trip. This place was featured on Man vs. Food. The burnt ends sandwich is amazing!! Could have had three of them! The hot sauce is yummy too. Brooke's Bad A** Beans are a signature dish and good too! Quick service and very friendly. One small... read more

We were in the area for a weekend family get together. We decided to order take-out. We bought three pounds of burnt ends, beans, potato salad and cole slaw. It was so good. The burnt ends were wonderful- tender-no fat. The service was fantastic. We'll have Papa Bob's qgain

Upon landing in Kansas City and my relatives asking me what I'd like to eat, I responded BBQ and this is where they took me. We arrived close to closing time, but that didn't impact our experience at all! The staff was extremely pleasant and were thorough in explaining the menu and answering any questions we had. I tried the... More

We tried this place simply because of the hype from Man vs. Food, as we love the Food Channel and the Travel Channel. I got the burnt ends sandwich, and my husband got the destroyer. I thought mine was pretty good actually, but when I took a bite of my husband's destroyer sandwich.... Well... Not so much. He was able... More

Cute place inside, clean, wait staff helpful and friendly. Several varieties of their sauce from which to choose. One good spicy sauce and one with cinnamon and nutmeg in it that was super yummy. We shared a $13 deluxe platter. Cole slaw was good but beans were even better! Enjoyable.

After a group of 13 of us in town for fun were denied service at Rosco's down the road @ 6:40pm!!??... A nice gentleman sitting there recommended we go up the road to Papa Bob's.. We were all so glad we did! History, television shows, and the massive Ultimate Destroyer aside (which are all very cool parts of the restaurant)... More

TIP: If you love a zippy or hot BBQ sauce, be sure to try the Bob'Anero !!! Best variety of sauces. Terrific menu for such a small family place. Skip the LEGENDS restaurants and you will remember Bob's. The sides are generous. Wonderfully lean meats. We would definitely return. Bob shakes your hand in thanks for your patronage.

Was on the big eats show, made up a sandwich to get on there. Also on another show. NOT a good option for KC BBQ, I have been there a few times and never thought it was good. Beans best thing there. Better to go to other local BBQ places.

Small place, but big on taste. I had the burnt end sandwich. Tasted very good. Others at the table had the pulled pork, the BBQ turkey, and the chicken strips. Clean plates all around. Very nice and courteous wait staff. Got right in, place was full of families on a rainy Saturday noon.

The variety of the sauces and menu is awesome. They have an old fashioned type of feel to this place that makes you feel like you have gone back in time to somewhere amazing. Every thing I have tried here is great. The pulled pork, the chili, the chicken tenders, and all their BBQ sauces. I will be back soon!
