Great restaurant. Very unique vibe -- true New Orleans ambiance. The food is the standout though with a smaller menu of perfected dishes at slightly less than usual prices more

We came across this little restaurant on accident and couldn't believe how pleased we were! The food is not at all like anything around--and the portions are huge! The service was fun and personal, but not overbearing. To top off the service and food, they have a Bellini on the drink menu--I've yet to see that anywhere in Des Moines! more

Simo's is a small restaurant with a warm, welcoming environment. Although we only ordered the smoked salmon and scallop appetizers, the food was amazing. The portions were perfect, and the quality was top notch. This is a wonderful restaurant to go on a first date or a romantic but quaint night out.
