This was the first time I had eaten at this location. The staff was friendly and prompt. Good service and good food. I had a Cajun ribeye medium rare, it was cooked to perfection and had good flavor.

If you want a decent steak without breaking the bank, Lone Star can't be beat. Never had a bad steak here.

I like the ice cold beer and a bucket of peanuts. I like how the layout is open but the sections don't make you feel like you are sitting in a cafeteria. Portions sizes are good, I love the salad wedge, but potato toppings are over done, get them on the side! Ask for your check early, once the food... More

I went to Lonestar this sat with my mother, It was lunch the service was good the food was the best I had there in sometime althought it looked as tho the steak was smaller than it had been in the past.. the lights were very bright and the place seemed bare..I liked the old decor better, animals on the... When I noticed that Lone Star was rated so highly I said to myself, "You have got to be kidding." This is the ONLY restaurant I have walked out of. Why? After being seated, more than 20 minutes went buy before our drinks ( a bottle of beer and a coke) were delivered. They were not short on help, but... More

This is a really good steakhouse and since we travel to Des Moines about 3 or 4 times a year, it means this restaurant maintains a consistent high standard. My only objection are the animal (cow, buffalo, deer) heads on the walls, but to each their own I suppose. It hasn't stopped us from going and we do recommend this... More

Food is very good. Has a tendency to be noisy. Fun place to go with a group of freinds.

I was referred to this location from a friend. I had tried another steakhouse on the south side and was not happy at all. I was reluctant to try this Lone stare because I have been to the one in Fargo ND and was not happy with the food at all. The Service is a little slow, however the food... More

It seems a bit silly to review a chain restaurant like this one - if you've eaten at one in some other city, I'm sure it's the same as this one. But I did go there for lunch last week, so what the heck. The decor is all faux-Texas-y, with old signs and whatnot, as well as a big moose... More
