Neighborhood classic

I'm not head over heels for the Charlie boys like some, but they are pretty good. The Charlie Boy is the star here. It's basically a loose meat sandwich with a blend of pepper. People come for Charlie boys and the Schooners. A schooner is a big almost fishbowl like beer. This is a fund little... read more

The Charley Boys are too peppery. They never use to when the original owners had it. It's more a Snob establishment, then a friendly place to go. You have to be in the in crowd with owners. Or your invisible. The people that are giving them good rates are close friends to them.

Not sure how this place is even rated....do not go! The only thing on the menu would be "hot dogs" and "nachos". We tried the nachos. Should have gone with our first instinct when we pulled in the parking lot.

I lived in Sioux City back in the early 80s (was born and raised here), and visiting again after 32 years was a step back in time. The "Miles Inn" wasn't a place I was old enough to enjoy back then, but it is a must visit if you are in Sioux City and like Ice Cold Beer and spicy... More

You got to have the Charlie Boy loose meat sandwiches and a schooner of beer. You need the beer because the sandwiches are peppery. We get a sack full to go - a tradition.

You have to stop here for a Charlie Boy! 4th of July family outing with grandparents and tween grand kids. Just make sure you count your change. I ran into repeated challenges with the basic math. Very unfortunate....

We went to the Miles Inn for lunch with a group. We all ordered the "Charlie Boy" that is apparently they're claim to fame. A pretty small sandwich, with a lot of mustard on a hamburger bun. I didn't see the "wow" or the attraction. The place in general is run down, well worn and is more suited as a... More

This is the home of the Charlie boy (a kind of loose meat sandwich) and schooners of beer. This is a bar, and not a restaurant. the charlie boy is soooo good with an ice cold schooner of beer. very Midwestern tavern atmosphere. great anytime of the day!

Miles Inn was a favorite while we attended college in Sioux City, and we still love stopping in when we're in town. The beer is ice-cold and the Charlie Boy sandwiches can't be beat. This isn't the type of bar to stop and sit for a full meal with your family, but rather a place to grab a beer, catch... More
