Our table of four arrived hungry and ordered the smaller All American BBQ Feast. Wow, what an experience. Great food served quickly by a cheerful and fun staff. This Famous Dave's was different than others I have tried. They have a second floor in their building and a very nice bar area downstairs. Ordered a beer and the special. The glass of beer was flat. They didn't rinse out the detergent whcih kills the carbonation immediately. Poor cleanliness. The ribs were good, the beans were great, the cole slaw was good, the corn was a joke. more

Seriously, I've been to a number of Dave's BBQ's over the years, and have found all others to be pitiful in comparison! I have to give the owner and managers HUGE snaps for the way they run this location! They are VERY fast as seating, taking orders, and serving everyone their meals. This is my families favorite when we visit Sioux City. You won't go away hungry. Their brisket is the best in Iowa. Great service and fun atmosphere! more
