Great place

Called in with a friend one lunchtime, very friendly place the staff can't do enough for you and treat you very well. The menu has a fantastic selection and it's a nightmare choosing which dish to have, they all sound so mouth watering. Having ordered we were well please with our selection we even... read more

The quality of the food doesn't back up the presentation. Chipped beer glass Pepper pot had 4 blocked holes out of 5 Wooden platter had a large crack in it. Waitress staff were very good but the Lady who we assume was the restaurant manager was rude, unfriendly and didn't seem to take any interest in her work

Visited here for an early dinner with out 8 month old son. Booked a table for 6pm but doesn't open until 6 pm so was waiting outside for them to open. Nice place with excellent Timothy Taylor cask ale. Very friendly service but this place is making itself out to provide relatively high end restaurant food which it doesn't live... More

We had dinner with friends at this lovely quaint country pub. The service was warm and hospitable and the food was good. Well worth a visit.

We were stay nearby at the Premier Inn and boy was this an improvement on 'Brewers Fayre'! Good selection of dishes, all freshly prepared. aOne evening we had starters and a cheese board for our meal- no problems. Staff friendly and helpful. Real Ale Pub.

Nice setting out in the sticks don't let first impression cloud your view as sure there is maintenance required on the building and grounds however the food was excellent and understandable why it was full on the Friday evening we visited. The home smoked salmon was superb light smoke and succulent, main course was mackerel filet with stewed rhubarb and... More

Stopped off for Sunday lunch, whichever we were really looking forward to, and left disappointed, especially with the roast beef, - some smaller parts of which were very tender, and others (most) of which we were completely unable to cut, so in effect were inedible. Parts of the meal, carrots, boiled potatoes and gravy were lovely, but other key elements,... More

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon as a group of seven. The food was excellent, cooked and seasoned very well, with very generous portions. The deserts especially were great. The service was also superb, with the chef assisting in meeting the dietary requirements of one of our group. All in all, an excellent place for either a drink or food.

We tried this pub last night after looking at their website which looked very good and they have won numerous awards. Pulled up outside to a somewhat shabby looking pub, not the pristine white building on the website. Ordered some drinks and went to sit outside in one of their outdoor eating areas with menus. We should have known what... More
