Beautiful area and nice little beer garden. Lots of lovely nooks to sit inside in lots of little rooms, just what I would expect from an old country pub. The menu was large with plenty to choose from I ordered a beef burger with coleslaw and chips as I felt naughty and off the diet!! There was plenty of it... More

Visited this lovely old pub with friends for lunch and had an excellent meal. Despite the dining area being very busy the staff were welcoming, efficient & friendly. There is a regular menu plus daily specials, & we all chose from the latter. We were all very impressed with the delicious, hot & well presented food & just sorry we... More

My husband and I had a lovely meal at the Green Dragon Brook, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food arrived promptly and was lovely and hot with a delicious flavour. We have been back there several times since and will continue to have special meals there.

Popped in for a bite to eat whilst out in the New Forest and wasn’t disappointed at all. We ordered a variety of sandwiches including Open Prawn which was a great portion size and a Ploughman’s (which had masses of cheese on it!). All were excellent value and really fresh. Well worth the stop and would definitely eat their again... More

Went here for lunch with my wife and three children. We managed to get a table even tough many were reserved. Food was served promptly and was of a good standard. Staff very helpful and didn't seem to mind when my 2 year old spilt a whole glass of water on an upholstered seat rendering it useless for the rest... More

Visited with 3 generations and all found something they loved on the Menu. Specials board is extensive and offers a wide variety of choice. They are happy to mix and batch the veg/ salad or change potatoes to chips etc. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Food is good pub food. Honest and rustic ! Nether the less very tasty !... More

Lunched with family on 17th- met half way here, us from Surrey & them from Somerset. Nice relaxed meal in a very busy Sunday lunch period, however, staff seemed to overlook us once or twice. Maybe because we were newbies or not local ? Roast beef was nice as was the lamb and chicken. Puds ok too, but there were... More

Staying up the road 100 metres away in the Bell Inn, we booked a table for dinner Saturday 16th August for 3 people. Bar staff excellent quickly served and on asking advised that our table was number 10 in the restaurant and to go through when we wanted, so far so good. On finding the table in the restaurant we... We went to this pub for lunch as it very close to our hotel. It looks great from the outside and was busy. I wasn't impressed by the laminated menus. We ordered 2 ploughmans lunches. £9.50 each. They were ok, but had more cheese than its possible to eat. Could have done with less cheese and more bread/salad. A cider... More

We had lunch in the Green Dragon at Brook in the New Forest on Sunday 10 August. We arrived when the pub was just opening at Midday and managed to get the last available table in the bar because we had not booked. The restaurant area was fully booked with a number of regulars which is generally a sign of... More
