What fun. Just looking at all the baked goods. Had a hard time deciding but when complete had some nice treats for the drive home.

This is a classic homey Amish bakery. I used to live close to some Amish families in WI, and it reminded me of Saturday mornings when my mom would take me to their front porches and shop for baked goods! So friendly there. Long shop hours. We slipped in around 4:30PM and the smells were what I imagined 8AM would... More

I dropped in this bakery looking for a sweet. It turns. Out it is also a restaurant and i would have liked to try it. Instead, I bought a large pan of 6 huge cinnamon rolls for $3.29. What a deal! They were fresh and covered with icing. Very tasty!

We dropped in for a quick piece of Rhubarb pie Even though there wasn't any slices available, they cut into a new uncut pie for us. There were several customers also making various selections. It was delicious and the service was wonderful!

We stopped for a quick lunch at Kalona Bakery. The sandwiches were delicious. I think the fresh tomatoes and super soft bread truly made them amazing! Yum! There was a cute area to sit and eat. I think the only bad thing about this place was swatting flies the entire time. That part was pretty gross. The prices were incredibly... More

The food served at the Bakery is always tasty; one is served what one expects to have at a country diner. The baked goods are outstanding, of course. The atmosphere is very plain.

Take and eat treats, sandwiches, food gift items...all homemade. YUM. The staff wasn't warm and fuzzy but, for the food and the prices, it didn't matter to me. I was happy.

We went to Kalona to go to the Amish stores & had to go to the bakery for one of the big fat awesome cinnamon rolls. I think they called them Grandma's old fashioned rolls. WOW! Pops & I split one & took the other one to go. The endless cup of cold brewed coffee was just as tasty! They... More

In addition to selling fresh baked pies, cakes, breads, pastries KB also serves up good breakfasts. In addition to the usual fare they serve fried mush, biscuits and gravy and baked oatmeal with fruit, my favorite. They also serve lunch, grilling in the summer
