I visited Iowa City for a week while on business. This is the best restaurant I found while there. The service was solid, the ambiance nice, wine selection adequate, and the food very very good. It's continental style with a New American flair. My favorite of the night was a melon and prosciutto quesadilla with melon pico de gallo. Nice!

And I live in Northern California, in Wine Country! The lobster bisque is to die for and all the food is good here and the restaurant has a charming, unpretentious ambience that is both romantic for couples and comfortable for singles. I am on their mailing list even though I only get to visit every few years for the U... More

Love the lobster bisque soup... always a winning starter. Great food and layout/atmosphere seems to allow for a little privacy anywhere in restaurant. More formal dress. Prices are a little higher than most.

We enjoy a window side table. The food is good. The lobster bisque and their bread is excellent! Expensive! We spent $100 with no alcohol and no dessert and only one cup of coffee.

We visited Linn Street Cafe for Valentine's dinner. We had an excellent meal and enjoyed fabulous service with Brittney! Looking forward to our next dinner date at Linn Street!

there are 100 better places in Iowa City to spend $100 on two meals and a bottle of wine, our server reaked of cigarettes and seemed more interested in his iphone than our table! went to Devotay the next week and will definitely go back again, will never go back to linn st.

The food is always great. The wine list is excellent, and you feel very private even in the middle or the room.

Quiet, low-lit restaurant with white linen tablecloths and napkins, relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Unfortunately, was a sub-zero winter's night and the restaurant was cold. We had crab cakes for an appetizer which were tasty but very rich, not to mention expensive at 2 small ones for $12. We'd wanted to try the arancini (fried risotto balls with peas and... More

We've recently eaten at Linn Street Cafe, Devotay (next door) and Atlas (down the street). All are good choices. (long-time locals tell us that 25 years ago, Iowa City didn't have any good choices like this). But between the 3, I would go back to Atlas first. At Linn Street Cafe, I ordered the lamb rack - 4 arrived with... More
