Aoeshe is my favorite place to get sushi in Iowa City. It is very good, and not expensive like other places around town. Its a wonderful place to go where the food is great! The Chinese is just superb and and the Korean food is very authentic. I have made Aoeshe a regular visit and it always comes up on the list of 'where to go' when planning a dinner out. Whether you are on fancy night or a casual night out, Aoeshe fits the bill. If you love sesame chicken prepare to have th best sesame chicken you have ever had. more
Don't go for the service. But go for the great Korean food and the Korean style Chinese dishes. Sushi is ok. The American style Chinese is on the menu for the college kids. more

Iowa City these days enjoys a plethora of very good, fresh Japanese cuisine and is overrun with the usual Chinese fare. What is lacking is outstanding Korean offerings. This is our favorite Asian restaurant in Iowa City hands down. We've been eating here consistently for three years and always leave very pleased. Food is better and more affordable than higher priced Iowa City area equivalents. more
We just moved to Iowa from CA and were in desperate need to find a nice Asian restaurant, but this is definitely the one that need to be avoided. We ordered one seafood noodle soup dish and one seafood stir fried dish and both were neither Asian, nor fresh. Any seafood in the dishes smelled like they have been sitting... more
Eh... The food and service is only okay. The tempura is good, but the sushi is lackluster. Three Samurai is much better. more
the food is okay, much better at formosa or 3 sam. it's run down, the menu is outdated & the ingredients used in the food most likely are as well. it's not fresh any way you look at it. more
