I live in Iowa City and have been eating at Pagliai's for as long as I can remember. I have traveled a lot in my adulthood and it is by far the best pizza I have ever had. My personal favorite is the "Palace Special" but many people simply enjoy a one ingredient pizza as well. You can't go wrong... More

This is one of my all time favorite pizza places in IC. I remember coming here as a kid with family and nothing has changed. (Not even the decor) Good take out but even better when you can sit and watch them make your pizza.

This is probably my vote for the best of all pizza places in IA City/Coralville. Not really all that upscale nor all that romantic... but just really good pizza. Service is average.

This place is just a pizza only place. If you are looking for salads, appetizers or pasta, it is not your place. However the pizza is very good, the price is right and if you go later in the evening, it smells divine, like an old time Italian home, the aroma of pizza sauce permeates the place giving it a... Enjoyed pizza here after a weekend of baseball games. The pizza has a very thin crust but it remains crispy even with all the toppings piled on. Would highly recommend this to anyone in the area or visiting from out of town. You are missing out if you don't stop.

My boyfriend and I went here with my aunt and uncle on our roadtrip from Cali to Michigan. It is such a perfect little restuarant. An old italian pizzeria. The atmosphere is awesome. The pizza is more thin crust style but they can still pile the toppings on if you wish. We sat in a quaint little booth and had... More

Had the shrimp, sausage, & pepperoni and all were good. My favorite was sausage. Service excellent & price was good. This is better than any chain!

Great local color and great old fashioned pizza. Simple, always great quality. Don't expect salads or any other frills, though. Our family lives it!

My family has been eating here for years. Very fresh, good quality cheese, crisp crust. The pizza flies to the table piping hot. We always get a limitless burn on the top of our mouths because we don't want to wait for the first bite. Also love the sweet Italian sausage.

Un-plastic, agreeably old fashioned dining room where you see big happy families lunching and laughing. Also for the college crowd. The pizza is just average midwestern thin-crust, on the crisp side, last time I visited. Iowa City folk are loyal to Pagliai. It's a hometown essence.
