Always friendly

Clean restaurant, friendly staff, good food, but service is a little slow sometimes. I like that they have gluten free soy sauce and are able to modify some meals to fit allergy needs.

We've lived here 20+ yrs, and this place has long been one of our favorites for a casual meal after work on Fridays. We had not made it here for awhile, and a recent visit was a shock and major disappointment. On a busy evening, there were just 2 people in the front of the house; one was a new... More

I had not been there for a long time, and remembered that my disappointment was similar before. The staff was inattentive to our table. We had to wave down our waiter several times for a request which was then forgotten. We had to wait for our main course way too long and when it finally arrived the tempura was tepid,... More

I had had great food in the past. We tried two different "lunch boxes" and were severely disappointed. The egg rolls were mostly doughy paste. The rice was dry and singularly tasteless. The "dip" for the egg roll was catsup based. My beef broccoli and my friend's fried tofu were less flavorful than the frozen package I buy at the... More

Chinese AND Japanese food all in one? It sounded too good to be true, and it was. Our waitress was hung over or strung out. Her co-worker did her best to cover. Food was lukewarm and the tempura was extra soggy...udon broth tasted soap. It was easier to pay the bill and leave than make a fuss. I'm sorry, but... More

I recently tried this restaurant out because I do like a bit of Asian food every now and then and had tried many other restaurants in the Iowa City area. I read the reviews before going and had mixed feelings about what I was reading but I wanted to see for myself. The menu was very full and had plenty... More

Great lunch spot, they always seem to be busy. I drive from downtown to the westside and they are quick, I am generally there, have lunch and back to work in about an hour take or give a few minutes. Very good Bento Box options and yummy Sushi!

The sushi here is EXPENSIVE and they had almost nothing on their menu, but don't let this fool you - it wasn't fresh. My sushi was made by someone who looked like they just came out from doing the dishes, filthy shirt and all.
