Craving a taste of Paris in Iowa? Go to Crepes De Luxe Cafe for sweet or savory crepes like the popular "Monkey Treat" with bananas and Nutella, or the L'Ocean, Salmon, Aioli, Lemon Juice, and Swiss Cheese. Chef Hicham has created a little taste of Paris in Iowa City and it is delicious. We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. Within walking distance of the downtown hotels and popular pedestrian mall, it is a great restaurant for two or a small group. There is limited seating but any wait is worth it. If you are looking for an alternative to the "greasy spoon" breakfast or fast food dinner, try Crepes De Luxe Cafe. You will walk away thinking you just left a bistro near the Eiffel Tower.

Salmon crêpe is the best!

One of the best places my wife and I have visited in the United States! The food is flawless (not cheap but it is definitely worth every penny), the staff is very nice and friendly, the interior is very simple but clean and cozy. If we lived in Iowa City we'd be frequent visitors.

It is a small cafe that makes you think that you are on the streets of Paris. The staff are very nice and laid back. A romantic place to bring your sweetie.

I had buckwheat La Martin. My daughters had sweet crepes. Just like this shop in René France I visited when I was there for weeks. Just awesome.

We took our three girls there for a birthday lunch and had an absolute ball. Crepes De Luxe was the final stop on a scavenger hunt we had created, and the owners were very happy to hide the last clue for us and play along as our daughters found the final clue. The crepes are beautiful, original, and made with... More

Just got back from Iowa City and can't say enough about the wonderful crepes at Crepes De Luxe Cafe. This is a cute little restaurant located right by the Iowa Library and Hotel Vetro. There is a great selection of crepes both meat & cheese and sweet ones. The prices are great too. We will definitely be back to try... More

Husband and I enjoyed supper at Crepes De Luxe Cafe. It is a quaint spot and the Chef and his sous chef were gracious and kind. We both enjoyed herb chicken crepe and the price was right and the portion was reasonable; I could barely finish mine. Yet, dessert was on our minds. I had the Valetin with strawberries and... More

Went for lunch with my daughter and ordered two savory crepes. Made with fresh ingredients and watched them being prepared. Very flavorful and light. Will definitely be back to try some sweet crepes.

Excellent. A restaurant run by people who live and die by what they put on the plate. I'm a world traveller and first time visitor. I stopped by for lunch today on my way through IA. I'll make sure I get through IA City again if for no other reason to visit a French crepery you'll be hard to find... More

Right in the heart of Iowa City, steps from the Ped Mall, Library, and fun shops you can find this gem. I enjoyed a crepe called "Le Printemps" (Spring), which included asperagus, mozzerella, turkey bacon, spinach, aoili and presto, for $8.75. Most of the savory crepes were $6.95. The sweet crepes looked enticing but I didn't try them, although family... More
