Description: Craving a taste of Paris in Iowa? Go to Crepes De Luxe Cafe for sweet or savory crepes like the popular "Monkey Treat" with bananas and Nutella, or the L'Ocean, Salmon, Aioli, Lemon Juice, and Swiss Cheese. Chef Hicham has created a little taste of Paris in Iowa City and it is delicious. We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. Within walking distance of the downtown hotels and popular pedestrian mall, it is a great restaurant for two or a small group. There is limited seating but any wait is worth it. If you are looking for an alternative to the "greasy spoon" breakfast or fast food dinner, try Crepes De Luxe Cafe. You will walk away thinking you just left a bistro near the Eiffel Tower.

Fantastic crepes made before your eyes in traditional Parisian style. The owner is French and puts in the extra touches to make the dishes excellent. Savory or sweet, they are all awesome.

After seeing all the wonderful reviews, I decided to try this cafe for lunch. I chose the savory Roma crepe which was new on the menu. The crepe had sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, cranberries, chicken, spinach and pesto. It was delicious - savory but with a nice sweetness from the cranberries. It is a large portion size and plenty... More

This little restaurant serves the best crepes ever. Wish I'd had room to try one of their sweet offerings ... but one spinach crepe filled me up. If I didn't live 350 miles away, I'd be back every week! Oh, and two young men who operate this place are very creative, friendly and fun.

Wonderful, delicious crepes. We tried both savory and sweet. So, so good. Friendly service. Limited seating. Metered parking on street

Had a wonderful late lunch in the company of the lovely owners of Cerepes De Luxe Cafe. The light and rich taste of the Valentin is, oh so, wonderful.

With burgers, sandwiches, and burritos dominating the food choices in downtown IC it was a pleasure to find a different space with a different concept. CREPES! From sweet to savory, it's a good experience. The staff was friendly and talkative, and the food was great!

I've eaten incredible crepes at stands on the left bank in Paris. But the two crepes I ate at Crepes de Luxe Cafe near the campus of U of Iowa were the best I've ever tasted. Take a buddy because you'll want to split one crepe from the savory menu and then share a dessert crepe from the sweet menu.... More

I must say that it never occurred to me a world-class creperie would be tucked behind the public library in sleepy Iowa City. Just because it was unexpected one shouldn't mistake the authenticity and passion of this hidden gem. Forget the menu just check the chalkboard upon arrival. There are only wonderful choices to be made so have no fear.... More

Super delicious, always made to order, always fresh. There are so many unique flavors, and the couple who own it are so friendly and open. It's so good to have authentic crepes in a boring place like Iowa!
