Craving a taste of Paris in Iowa? Go to Crepes De Luxe Cafe for sweet or savory crepes like the popular "Monkey Treat" with bananas and Nutella, or the L'Ocean, Salmon, Aioli, Lemon Juice, and Swiss Cheese. Chef Hicham has created a little taste of Paris in Iowa City and it is delicious. We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. Within walking distance of the downtown hotels and popular pedestrian mall, it is a great restaurant for two or a small group. There is limited seating but any wait is worth it. If you are looking for an alternative to the "greasy spoon" breakfast or fast food dinner, try Crepes De Luxe Cafe. You will walk away thinking you just left a bistro near the Eiffel Tower.

Excellent. A restaurant run by people who live and die by what they put on the plate. I'm a world traveller and first time visitor. I stopped by for lunch today on my way through IA. I'll make sure I get through IA City again if for no other reason to visit a French crepery you'll be hard to... read more

Right in the heart of Iowa City, steps from the Ped Mall, Library, and fun shops you can find this gem. I enjoyed a crepe called "Le Printemps" (Spring), which included asperagus, mozzerella, turkey bacon, spinach, aoili and presto, for $8.75. Most of the savory crepes were $6.95. The sweet crepes looked enticing but I didn't try them, although family... More

The food here is so amazing! Quaint, laid back vibe and oh, did I say the food is amazing?!! It's all made right in front of the seating area. Small businesses like this allow the owners to run it how it should be- to deliver excellent food to its customers. That's why people come, right? We will DEFINITELY be back!!!!

A very nice Moroccan French family-run cafe(they of course do also speak English for customers- but with beautiful French accents). They make the crepes right in front of you and each is worthy of a photo. I feel bad that their location does not have much available parking, because I think that if it did, they would be flooded with... More

My wife and I were looking for a new place to try as we are new to Iowa City. The food is magnificent, presentation is wonderful, great atmosphere. The owners were delightful. The L'Ocean is the best!! We also enjoyed the pesto, chicken, feta, cranberry crepe; then finished off with something sweet with the Majesty. We have been telling all... More

Oh my goodness, the pesto, chicken, feta, cranberry crepe I had was not only the best crepe I've ever had but is quite likely the best dish period that I've ever had. The crepe was divine, the filling sublime and the presentation delightful. I could eat here every day. The gentlemen cooking and serving were charming... I am assuming they... More

There was a great college town crêpe Café atmosphere. The staff was French. The food was beautiful. I had to take a picture. It was also delicious. Prices were great. The only downside was that the American in me wanted it stuffed with more cheese and meat. But then it wouldn't have been so authentic.

The crepes were great, and the people were very nice. We got there a little late and found the doors already locked. They still let us in for a late night crepe. Very nice. The perfect ending to a wonderful Thursday evening in Iowa City. We'll definitely stop again on our next visit to Iowa City.
