Craving a taste of Paris in Iowa? Go to Crepes De Luxe Cafe for sweet or savory crepes like the popular "Monkey Treat" with bananas and Nutella, or the L'Ocean, Salmon, Aioli, Lemon Juice, and Swiss Cheese. Chef Hicham has created a little taste of Paris in Iowa City and it is delicious. We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. Within walking distance of the downtown hotels and popular pedestrian mall, it is a great restaurant for two or a small group. There is limited seating but any wait is worth it. If you are looking for an alternative to the "greasy spoon" breakfast or fast food dinner, try Crepes De Luxe Cafe. You will walk away thinking you just left a bistro near the Eiffel Tower.

Great atmosphere, beautiful food

There was a great college town crêpe Café atmosphere. The staff was French. The food was beautiful. I had to take a picture. It was also delicious. Prices were great. The only downside was that the American in me wanted it stuffed with more cheese and meat. But then it wouldn't have been so... read more

The crepes were great, and the people were very nice. We got there a little late and found the doors already locked. They still let us in for a late night crepe. Very nice. The perfect ending to a wonderful Thursday evening in Iowa City. We'll definitely stop again on our next visit to Iowa City.

The variety on the menu, the atmosphere, you can almost forget you're in Iowa City while eating at Crepes De Luxe. I've been a fan of crepes as a sweet breakfast food for years, but it wasn't until eating here that I realized the versatility of the food item. The menu is broken into sweet and savory items. My family... More

My husband and I each had a savory crepe to start and then shared a sweet one. We watched them being made and could ask for more or less of any filling ingredient. The owner is very sweet and the whole place has a family feel. I noticed that many of the people already being served were known by name... More

Crepes de Luxe Cafe is simply wonderful. The food is AMAZING! You'll be craving it afterwards! Chef/owner Hicham(sp) and the staff were very friendly and incredibly patient with our very bad attempts at speaking French. Wonderful, savory and sweet crepes prepared in front of you and each presented in a different way make for a truly unique experience in a... More

This is one of my favorite spots in Iowa City. It's quaint and intimate. The quality of the food is outstanding. And who doesn't love a crepe? There are multiple savory and sweet crepes to choose from, all priced around $6-8. I've tried almost every crepe on the menu and haven't been disappointed. Order a crepe or two and watch... More

I loved their desert crepes and I finally have a chance to go back and take my wife for our anniversary. The setting is not cramped but close and the service was great.

Based on the tripadvisor reviews, we paid this small restaurant in downtown Iowa City a visit. The food was great and it was fun to see your crepes being made. My companion and I split one savory crepe and one sweet crepe. Both were excellent and we very much enjoyed the vibe of this small cafe.

Crepes de Luxe is one of those places you just keep going to, planning to try something new and you don't, because you can't resist ordering one of your favorite crepes. The food is consistently great, and the owners/workers are always friendly and welcoming. I have never had anything that I didn't like, so it feels that any choice here... More

My aunt and uncle took me to eat here (I am a student at The University of Iowa) and all of us loved it! They had a selection of both sweet and savory crepes. The chef was teaching us how to say all of the names with correct French pronunciation too! (even though it probably still sounded terrible). The prices... More
