Never had Mediterranean? Good place to start!

I had never had falafel or hummus or baba ganoush or anything Mediterranean before trying Oasis. It only took one trip for Oasis to make it to the top of my list for eats in Iowa City. Since my first trip there I have had various falafel and hummus in other places, and Oasis is always my favorite... read more

I have lunch at Oasis at least once in 2 weeks. I have honestly tasted everything on the menu. For those new I recommend that you start with Baba Ganoush, Hummus, Falafel and Pita bread. Tabbouleh, Mediterranean, Eggplant and chick peas salads are good to try one at every visit. The chicken and lamb kabobs are good but not great.... More

Tried several small plates among our group to try a variety. Portions were really nice, all the food was nicely seasoned and full of flavor. A very enjoyable meal for something totally different for me.

I have been to Oasis several times, and I am not surprised to see it in the top 10 restaurant for in Iowa City. There is a variety of choices for vegetarians and not vegetarians, at a very convenient price. It has the convenience and the down-to-earth of a fast food, with the quality of a diner.

Falafel! Best in the world! Totally authentic and wonderful. Highest quality and great price. I eat there as often as I can manage.

They often cater outdoor events such as music/arts fests in downtown Iowa City. Among all the venders, Oasis Falafel is my preferred choice. Tasty, healthy, easy-to-eat food. I recommend. If I still lived in town, I'd stop by their restaurant more often.

Oasis is inexpensive for the quality of the offerings and always has friendly service. While the venue is small, there's usually room for groups in the back room

The hummus. Oh the hummus. Thank goodness you can buy big batches to go. But aside from that, the falafel is top notch, as is the red cabbage and madjadras. Love the orange curry sauce at the condiments station. Tons of delicious, authentic food for very reasonable prices!

Several of us go to Oasis every Tuesday after yoga. It's the perfect place to have a healthy meal at a good price point. The food is fantastic. Nothing better then a whole wheat falafel pita!

We love the hummus and pita chips. Other great items are the falafel balls, falafel pitas, Mediterranean salad, chicken skewers, and pitas. You get lots of food for a great value.
