Friday Night is "Date Night" for me and my wife. No matter how busy or hectic the schedule is, we set aside a few hours to be together and to find a glass of wine and a good meal on Friday nights. The ideal spot has good service, a friendly and efficient staff, a variety of menu choices, a list... More

I read reviews on Tripadvisor that this might be a place I would want to go. It is nestled within a new residential community and a drive away from the downtown area (7 minutes away). My wait staff was excellent (Maddie); she was upbeat, courteous and friendly. I ordered the kaleprese($9) with fruit side. It was good but looked a... More

The food can be a little pricey, but the mac and cheese is worth it and I would recommend their potato chips!!!

Pleasant find in Iowa City. The menu is interesting and the four of us enjoyed our meals and appetizer. They have an extensive beer menu with up to date brews! Great atmosphere inside as the interior looks nothing like the outside. Recommendations to anyone that avoids the Coralville strip restaurants!

I have had 2 great nights out here. They have an excellent range of martinis - half price on Tuesdays - and a good range of beer and wine. Service is good, it is prompt and courteous. I like the menu. It has a nice range of food without being pages long. Their seared tuna is really good, as are... More

We really like the atmosphere at Blackstone. Quiet booths or tables. The background music is nice (Al Green, Earth Wind & Fire)...not too loud. We can hear each other and have a conversation. The food has never disappointed us. The menu is varied. I like the Take Two. (Soup, salad, or sandwich). The Sunday all you can eat Brunch is... More

We've never been disappointed at Blackstone. Although we like everything we've tried, we always order something different. It's a good adventure for a night out with that special someone or a small group of friends. You've got to try the Miagi (sp?) beans. Who would have thought green beans would be the most memorable part of the meal?

We met my in-laws in Iowa CIty as it is a nice in between spot from our respective homes. The meal gathering was for my mother-in-law's birthday, so we went to Trip Advisor for recommendations and decided to try Blackstone. We ended up being there for brunch and the brunch itself was nice and diverse in terms of an array... More

Cozy spot to meet friends for a drink or dinner. Quality Of food is erratic. Sometimes it's really good, at other times it disappoints.

This is not your average lunch spot. We were greeted immediately, seated and our initial beverage order was served within 2 minutes. The food was fantastic, but, for those of us travelling, portions were a little large. A nice option, not just for this establishment, but many others, would be to offer a half-size choice. I'm a hearty eater, but... More
