Turkish with a smile

I love their vegetarian combo plate featuring falafel, humus, baba ganoush, tabuli and warm pita. And the owners are adorable.

Lovely couple that own and run Istanbul Grill greeted me warmly, served hot, fresh, delicious, and nutritious food and we chatted for a little bit after a wonderful dinner. I highly recommend this place. I will be back, again.

The food is fantastic! The owners--apparently husband and wife from Istanbul--appear to be the only employees. The wife serves the customers. The husband is the chef. They know they are providing wonderful food, and they are deservedly proud of it. Everything I have eaten there has been wonderful! Because the atmosphere is not fancy, I think some customers judge the... More

We try to eat here at least once a week. We feel very fortunate there is a place serving such tasty, healthy, freshly prepared Middle Eastern food. The husband cooks most of the dishes, and the wife is hostess, waitress, and cashier (she also makes the WONDERFUL jasmine rice and a few other items). You don't go here for the... More

Food is definitely authentic. Tastes great & lot of it! The owners are very nice people. One of my favorite places to eat in Fairfield.

The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because it gave my husband and I upset stomachs. I am not sure if it was the oils or the seasoning they use. If it weren't for that, the food was good.

Exceptionally clean, bright and welcoming, this smallish cafe offers tantalisingly middle eastern spiced variations of both traditional American and Turkish favourites. I went three times in as many days and had wonderful and tasty breakfast and lunch specialties. The lady who is the main waitress is delightfull. Don't miss this resturant/cafe.

Stopping through Fairfield, by chance, on our way across the state - we thought ourselves quite lucky to have found the Istanbul Grill. Never ones to judge a book by its cover, and knowing that some of the best food we've ever had, came from food stands in foreign lands, we were very happy to discover a cozy cafe inside... More

Because of a recent intolerance to garlic, I had to avoid all the Turkish food, so I'm writing from a different perspective. The avocado sandwich wasn't extraordinary, but the roll it was made with seemed fresh-baked. The French fries were not greasy, so good oil. A previous reviewer said the Baklava was the best ever, but there's a place in... More

the food was pretty good, but the decor was very very old and not pleasant. stained, faded red checkered plastic table clothes are gross. wouldn't go there again, tried it twice.
