Great, local curry

My partner and I go here quite regularly as it's just down the road from us. Its definitely on par with other Indian restaurants in Norwich but easier for us to get to. I particularly rate the garlic nan and the chicken tikka Balti as you can really taste the barbecue flavour. Price is always very... read more

A happy family night out, we ignored being ignored, ordered plenty, enjoyed ourselves even though it is the type of Indian food that looks like Indian food, sounds like Indian food, but tastes like a bland casserole. fair enough Our request for fresh chilli on the side was ignored. Still we were all happy and didn't really care. They were... More

Having freqented this establishment on a number of occasions I decided to take some friends there last night. The food was attrotious and when we had barely finished our food I registered my disappointment at the quality of our meal to which the response was, "we have a new chef". The manager/owner then came over on his own accord and... More

Great dishes for vegetarians, very tasty indeed. Have been here a few times now and they never disappoint. Lovely décor, staff and service - highly recommended.

I went to Spice of India initially with the intention of getting a takeaway, but upon arrival decided to eat in instead. I'd visited a few times previously with my partner and we'd been pretty happy on those occasions. Unfortunately my most recent experience left me far from satisfied. The food itself (onion bhaji starter, chicken pasanda w/ pilau rice... More

I went to the restaurant a few weeks ago and had a lovely meal. The service was good and the food was lovely. However ordered a takeaway last night and, whilst the food was very tasty, the portions were incredibly disappointing. Definitely not worth the money and it was such a shame. May visit the restaurant again but definitely wouldn't... More

We've wanted to try this Indian for a while but we're always passing outside opening hours. Fortunately on Monday we were there just after 6.00pm. It was worth the wait. There were a lot of curries on the menu that were new to us that sounded lovely. To judge a restaurant for the first time we feel that we should... More

We have passed this place several times and both said we should try it one day. Well today was the day. We rang quite late to book not expecting to get a table as it was valentines day but we were lucky. When we arrived it was busy but the staff were pleasant and polite despite being under pressure. We... More

One can hardly expect a steaming atmosphere at 10pm on a winter Monday, so we dined alone in the pleasantly and apparently recently decorated large dining room, in what seems to be a converted country pub. Food met expectations, nothing special but probably a reliable local. And there is a good choice of locale ale alongside the inevitable "Indian' beers.... More

We decided very last minute we fancied going for a curry, we have been several times to spice of India and can't fault anything about it, the staff have always been polite, happy to serve you with a smile, which these days can be a rarity, the food has always met our expectations, and i will admit to being a...
