Super outdoor patio, on the river, and very popular. Wait staff are nice and friendly .Beer and drinks were cold and perfect. It seems one needs to know the menu. The 2 regulars ordered burgers, 2 of us ordered fish. Fish was just ok. But, the fries were not servable-shame on the kitchen staff and manager. (less heat and longer... More

You walk into a crowded restaurant on a Wednesday night, with a friendly smile and quite a buzz in the dinning room. We were sat outside per our request as it was a perfect night. The view was lovely and we were looking forward to some tasty fish. It all leveled out from there. Apparently no one told our server... More

Very relaxing, casual atmosphere outside, or choose more upscale dining atmosphere inside. We ate here a couple years ago and weren't too impressed. But the menu has changed recently and offers some excellent choices. Also, if you're over 55, be there to order before 6 p.m. and order from the "senior menu" for meals at $6.99, including pastas, and our... More

Went there for our anniversary dinner. Was expecting more. Little over-priced for the quality of the dinner menu. Had the salmon and it was over cooked. The sandwiches looked good. They do have a Happy Hour. Service was good.

Went with the family for their Sunday Brunch at 11:45am. They were low if not out of most of the food and really didn't't care if there was anything for the customer or not. Since I plan on spending a lot of time on the river this year, Catfish Charlie 's will be one that I avoid.

I have ate at Catfish Charlie's several times. I usually got the buffalo burger and soup; it was my favorite. The food is very good. The price is a bit steep for lunch (even with the buffalo burger). You get a view of Dubuque Yacht Basin and the back water connecting to the Mississippi River.

Thinking our first visit was a fluke, we stopped again-big mistake!! Nothing has changed!! Along with all the nasty stains on the carpeting and the dirty dirty tables and chairs. There was one server for the 2 tables seated and he took forever to get anything done!! Food was awful...will never ever return!!

Located next to Mystique Ice and overlooks the water--would be very nice in the summer and fall I would think. Clam chowder is very good! A bit pricey for lunch, but food is very good! Biggest fish sandwich I've ever seen.

The place looked nice from the outside but certainly was nothing special inside, it just didn't seem like anyone knew what they were doing. The staff was not friendly and the food was edible at best. Also pretty expensive for what you get a piece of fish and fries.

I enjoy a good tenderloin sandwich. Charlie has the best one in town. He prepares each from scratch and hand breads the tenderloin. The coating is excellent. The thickness of the loin lets you know you are eating something. The fries and slaw are very good. They fresh brew their tea. Not from a dispenser behind the bar. We sat... More
