Wonderful place to dine

Loved Pepper Sprout "Winter" menu. This restaurant has Midwestern favorites. My husband had the pot pie and I had the steak. While my steak was excellent and cooked to perfection, I was eyeballing his pot pie! This is not your typical pot pie. It comes with a beautiful presentation, light and flaky crust, and my husband ate every bit of... More

If you're looking for some fine dining in the area (which in Dubuque means in the range of about $25-$40 a plate before appetizers or wine pairings) then Pepper Sprout is the way to go. The seasonal menu is always full of fantastic dishes and top quality ingredients. The appetizers I've had here (like the seafood napoleon) are some of... More

I've had many great times at Pepper Sprout - the food is wonderful, the waitstaff outstanding. Good wine list too, outstanding bartender. Russell, Jonathan and Kim are very welcoming and friendly.

I've never heard a bad thing about this place and I've always had a splendid experience. The food is - phenomenal - seriously good. The menu changes seasonally with all kinds of mouth watering options. You must check this place out. Perfect place to celebrate something special.

Food, atmosphere and service is great. Bar is small but does a good job with selection and service. Foods when available are local and fresh. Menu has items that are not available in many other restaurants.

My wife and I visited The Pepper Sprout on a very busy Friday evening. We arrived early with a reservation. We skipped the excellent appetizers and ordered our entrees with salads. My spouse had barbeque pull pork mac and cheese which she raved about. The entire entree was baked with pepperjack cheese and barbeque sauce and topped with bread crumbs.... More

Tried and true. The menu changes via the season. Midwest cuisine with a twist. Chef Kim trained in Minnesota by her good friend Brett, whom is well known for his personality and kitchen magic.

Chef Kim continues to please the palate with her seasonal menus. Luckily she retains some favorite dishes each year. With the Fall menu the Jumbalya has just enough spice without tipping it over the top; the Venison with Blueberry Port sauce and sweet potato mash have a decidedly Autumnal slant. Her creations are always creative, delicious and pleasantly presented. Her... More

We dine at Sprout approximately once a month. The service and food quality is always consistent and Chef Kim does a wonderful job of keeping the menu fresh by rotating it seasonally and adding new things. The bar area is small but put to good use with hand crafted cocktails.
