Very good local restaurant. The location is not posh, the accommodations are not terribly chic - although unique- and the atmosphere is often crowded and sometimes noisy but the food is well prepared, service is good and the menu is not generic. It is a fine alternative to another chain and really ranks with the best of locally owned restaurants... More

My husband and I went there with some friends and were surprised because everyone we talked to about the Flying Mango made is sound like a big hip restaurant and when we got there is was more like a hip hole in the wall. Dont get me wrong plenty of seating just not big and boring. We enjoyed the staff... More

First time to visit was in February 2014. Had the ribs and they were DELICIOUS!!! I was with my husband a group of friends and tried to eat the ribs in a neat manner using my fork. The owner came by and handed me gloves to wear so I'd get in there and eat. Lots of fun and humor with... More

Great atmosphere, great food, fun experience. Smoked meat, cajun, caribbean, barbecue. Easy parking. This is our favorite local restaurant. If visiting from out of town, let Mike and Suzanne, the owners, know where you are from. They will welcome you! Worth the wait if you forgot to make reservations. Best caring and fun servers in town.

Barbecue isn't quite the right word. No white bread and butcher paper here. The food is diverse but focuses on smoked meats and high quality side dishes. Service is alway great. I've been here a dozen times and it rarely disappoints. My absolute favorite is the big chop. Its a bone-in pork chop (2 ribs) that they smoke then finish... More

The food is what shined here!!! I had the evening special which was a Louisiana Platter with BBQ shrimp & grits. It was SUPER yummy with a nice spicy kick to it. I also could not stop eating my husband's mashed potatoes! Our friends got the brisket and the rack of ribs both super yummy and tender. We all loved... More

Busy, noisy but oh so good! A neighborhood place that has reached beyond to attract many diners. Worth the wait but advise to go early. Meat well smoked and generous portions. Great wine list and beer selections. Go hungry!

Six of us (all seniors) dined at Flying Mango. Our expectations were high and for the most part, we were not disappointed. The service was "spot on" and the portions were ample. Some of us tried the ribs, sausage and several other menu items and found them to be absolutely delicious. Beef brisket is a house "specialty" and it sure... More

We love watching Diners, Drive ins and Dives and when they visited this place it went on our gotta check it out list. They take a limited number of reservations, so if possible call several days ahead of time, otherwise you could wait an hour to get a table. We visited on a Saturday night and it was packed !...
