And what a shame too, I had an excellent dish here the last time in town (August 2012). Is writing a review the only way you can report a possible closure?

I used to go to A Taste of Thailand all of the time until something changed. I think it was the owners? When I used to go there, it was really good Thai food. Then it went down hill. Now, they have new owners, and it is by far the best Thai food I have had in Des Moines. The... More

Great Thai food in a little family run restaurant. Great value and close to the Embassy Suites hotel.

This restaurant is our second favorite restaurant. The food here is fantastic, the heat levels are consistent, the Tom Yam soup is great, the curries are to die for, and the signature dishes are very unique and really tasty. The restaurant itself is perfect for large groups as well as a date night for you and yours. They have an... More

A Taste of Thailand is tucked away in a gray little strip mall off of Walnut Street and until you enter the door and see the line of people waiting to be seated, you might never think to stop by. But once you are in and get your food, you quickly understand why this is such a popular place: very,... More

Taste of Thailand doesn't look fancy from the outside, but the inside is warm and inviting. Three of us had dinner on a Friday night and everything was delicious. The potstickers were nicely crispy but didn't have the greasy fried texture. My son pretty much demoslished the dish of Pad Thai with chicken. My favorite was the Sweet Basil dish... More

Grabbed a bite here for lunch. Don't know much about Thai food, but liked the options. The food had a lot of flavor and the veggies in the food tasted fresh. Was able to picked what lunch item and specify how spicy or not I wanted. Service was good and had parking on the side which was nice too.
