Had oysters and shrimp in the in the oyster bar area of the restaurant. Good menu, nice wine list and service was very good. Walkable from the Hyatt Place and Savery hotel. Bit pricey but good.

My wife and I love this restaurant. It has great seafood, great preparations and a good wine list. The bar is also great. The service is also top notch. We've eaten here a dozen times over the past few years and love it every time.

Delicious, but $28 for four pieces of gulf shrimp is ridiculous. $7 per shrimp. Umm, won't be making that choice again.

I didn't have to pay so I shouldn't say anything bad, right? Well, that's just not me. I think this place is very nice but I think it's over priced. The food really isn't that good. I think the "mood lighting" is a bit much, a little too dark if you ask me. I don't think this is a place... More

Whenever we travel to Des Moines, the Splash is always a must on our itinerary. The seafood is always fresh and prepared and served to delight both the eye and the palate. Scott was an excellent server and was able to make excellent recommendations. The cold-water oysters were very fresh and delicious. Be sure to come early so that you... More

I have been to Splash a few years ago and thought it was a great place. Was disappointed in our dinners on Friday, September 26, 2014. I ordered a trio of steak, shrimp scampi and mussels/clams. steak was tough, and the Oscar topping of crab was mostly bread and tasteless. The scampi was simply shrimp in oil. the clams and... More

We have been here several times and enjoyed every one of them. They do a great job of getting you out in time for shows at the civic center if you let them know ahead of time as well. The seafood is fresh and always prepared inventively. The oysters are wonderful, the martinis are fantastic and a great wine selection... More

We spend a good deal of time traveling and Des Moines is not know for seafood, until we discovered Splash. When in the Keys or the Gulf that's seafood at it's best. The Midwest is know for beef, pork, and poultry so why would you would you expect good sea food here. Splash has been around for a while but... More
