We have been here several times and enjoyed every one of them. They do a great job of getting you out in time for shows at the civic center if you let them know ahead of time as well. The seafood is fresh and always prepared inventively. The oysters are wonderful, the martinis are fantastic and a great wine selection... More

We spend a good deal of time traveling and Des Moines is not know for seafood, until we discovered Splash. When in the Keys or the Gulf that's seafood at it's best. The Midwest is know for beef, pork, and poultry so why would you would you expect good sea food here. Splash has been around for a while but... More

I had made dinner reservations at 4 restaurants for our anniversary but Splash was the only restaurant that asked if this was a "special occasion". With that, I cancelled the other reservations and we had a great anniversary dinner at Splash. The table was decorated, a decorated menu, and then a complimentary appetizer from the chef. The swordfish was perfect... More

We had the Chilean Sea Bass (hard to get any where) and it was INCREDABLE! Very good dinner. The décor of the restaurant is a little dated - but if you can ignore that and just focus on the food, you will not be disappointed. Our waiter suggested a very nice bottle of wine, was knowledgeable, and allowed us to... More

Fancier than I would have thought from the outside. My daughter and I were out late and hadn't eaten. Decided to pop in for a quick bite. We shared the splash salad and a seafood platter app. Everything was prepared perfectly. Fantastic wine choice as well.

My husband, son, and I ate at Splash a week ago. The Chilean sea bass was the best that I ever had. My son had lobster macaroni and cheese which he loved. The service was great and the food was excellent. The fish was fresh and flavorful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I've been to Des Moines on business and for fun countless times and have heard rave reviews about Splash. Finally had the opportunity to eat here prior to a concert at the Civic Center. My wife and I both enjoyed every part of our meal. Absolutely delicious and fresh seafood. We enjoyed oysters on the half shell and shared the... More
