We were staying at the downtown Marriott and walked to Centro for supper. It was excellent! Service, food, wine-everything was excellent. It was a little spendy but we enjoyed it very much.

My dining partner and I were greeted at the door and shown to our table located in the center of the dinning room despite it being a busy Thursday night. It was surprisingly cozy. We were given a tablet to order our drinks. Our waitress was outstanding and the manager attentive. I had the scallops and my partner had the... More

Centros is one of the best restaurants in Des Moines. We eat at various restaurants throughout the year when we attend the shows at the Preforming Arts Center. The service is fantastic, the menu is exquisite, and the drink options are fabulous. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed with either the service or the food.... More

Been to Centro several times, most recently a few months ago. Not a place for an intimate dinner, they pack in the tables about as much as fire code allows. The service is pretty good, the food is good albeit overpriced.

My husband and I visited Centro during a recent trip to Des Moines. We had dined at Centro in downtown Chicago several times and wondered if this was part of their chain, which it is not. The restaurant has a great menu of appetizers, salads and entrees, and they also have an extensive wine list. The bruschetta was really wonderful... More

I have eaten here several times over the last few years for both lunch and dinner. I have never had a bad meal! I highly recommend eating here.

Pizza and hamburger were very good, service was excellent. the baking oven or method of frying leaves a layer of smoke within the restaurant itself which permeates your clothes to the point that every one in can't act with you thinks you went camping in your suit. Food good, smoke permeation bad.

Very slow service. Wouldn't advise going with small kids. Good was average. I had the pork tenderloin, one of my favorite sandwiches. It was very dry and came with no condiments. When I asked for some mustard, I was told it too would take some time since they make all there dressings etc... My waitress then asked if I still... More

I was really pumped about eating here while in Des Moines on business, but at the end of the evening was fairly underwhelmed. Didn't go extravagant on ordering, but tried the Kill Bill pork tenderloin sandwich because it sounded kind of daring, what with the sunny side egg on top and all. But, I guess in the end, a pounded... More
