My husband and I love this restaurant. I would give it five stars, but almost every time we go it is hard to talk because it's very loud. This could be our ears, but I think it's the design of the restaurant. Noisiness mentioned, the food is outstanding. It's a really fun place to eat; from the people who work... More

We try to visit Django for most of our special occasions and have used them for anniversary dinners, business Holiday parties, adult birthday gatherings, and group date nights. Love the food, the environment and the service. One of the best things about this restaurant is they don't have a corking fee so you can bring in your own wine. I... More

I really, really want to like Django's lunch options, but I can never seem to be awed like I do with a couple of their dinner items so I really can't go above the fact that, to me, Django is just average. It was a cold day, I wanted soup, Django was close, and French Onion sounded lovely. Well, it... More

Food is wonderful, from the duck frites to the condiment collage. Venue gets a little loud when the house is packed, but worth listening closely and having a great meal. And did I mention there is no corkage fee, winning!

I was told Django was best in Des Moines. Atmosphere is nice in old hotel style, a little dark. Food was okay, steak was overdone and a little tough. Side dishes were just okay as well. I would rank this in the top twenty but not the top five.

I spend the summers in France and, except for the fact that the waiter removed my dinner companions plate while I was still eating, I could have been in that glorious country. The decor, the atmosphere, the food, were all very French and superb. High recommend Django.

One would think that a restaurant that tries to be "French' would at least make their "French" fries French. Obviously this reataurant is nothing more than a glorified burger joint where the french fries have trouble competing with McDonalds. Well you never really know what a place is like until you try it once. In this case, once is enough.

Though most go here for the food, which is creative, well-prepared, delicious, and plentiful, this review is to applaud the restaurant for its ability to make any event even better. From the initial contact, to the numerous emails back and forth with the "parties"/banquet coordinator, it could not have been easier. I hosted two events on the same evening; a... More

This is one of the "go to" restaurants in downtown Des Moines. We have five children, and rarely would take them all with us to a nice restaurant like this. Normally it would just be my wife and I on a "date night." Last night my four girls had softball and birthday parties, so my wife and I decided to... More

This is the default restaurant for me and my husband when we have dinner in Des Moines. The environment is lively, food is marvelous, prices reasonable. Django is good for dress up or casual, which is also nice. Great French bistro fare, fused with the best sort of downtown American style. Love it. It is always busy and had a... More
