This is the default restaurant for me and my husband when we have dinner in Des Moines. The environment is lively, food is marvelous, prices reasonable. Django is good for dress up or casual, which is also nice. Great French bistro fare, fused with the best sort of downtown American style. Love it. It is always busy and had a... More

Was recommended by the concierge at the Savery, I'm from Colorado but this is one of my Fav all time restaurant great atmosphere, great service and amazing food. The oysters are fresh and well priced, I will continue to dine here anytime I'm in Des Moines. Pete the bartender there was a gem making me want to dine at the... More

This is our favorite restaurant to go to in Des Moines. I'm not big on French food... in fact, I've never ordered anything "French" off of the menu, lol. My boyfriend and I always get the steaks with frites. I love the hanger stake with bordelaise sauce -- it is my favorite meal to have out. My boyfriend and I... More

From pizza to filet, the menu is fresh and the service is spectacular. The bar offers a wide selection and loved seeing the wine lust on an iPad for current stock.

There were 4 of us dinning. As it was restaurant week my husband order the short ribs that were dried out. Other tried the boullabaisse said it was so so. My girls friend and I had the chicken prosciutto. Not hot (oven) and no flavor! This was one of my favorite places so disappointed.

Great French restaurant in Des Moines. Beautifully decorated, large lamps, unique wine bottle decoration. A little pricey on the appetizer. Charcuterie (small thinly sliced meats & cheese platter) run about $16 but during happy hour 4-6 they have a plate for $10. Menu selection is awesomely diverse. High end beef plates or seafood plates $32, to die for Lobster Mac... More

One of the best restaurants in Des Moines. You don't have to be a french food guy to really enjoy their food. They have a well balanced menu of authentic french cuisine, as well as plates similar to what you might find at an upper end restaurant. They have incredible staff that are determined to make sure that your dinning... More

I love this place. Fantastic food and a fun atmosphere. My husband favorite is the beef medallions, my favorite are the seared Sea Scallops. They have really good, unusual cocktails, and you can bring in your own wine with now corkage fee which keeps the meal within a descent budget. Happy hour is a great time to try cocktails, good... I have eaten at many fine eating establishments but Django has to rank at the bottom of the list. Food is way overpriced and the taste is poor. One of my guest couldn't even eat his meal because the smell and taste was awful. This place i would definitely cross off my list of places to dine in Des Moines.

Wish we knew a little more about this place. Had a very nice ambiance -- old hotel bar. We had drinks after dinner at another local spot. Happy hour prices till nine when we were there, so grabbed a couple of drinks. Cocktails were right on and the staff was cool.
