Surprising French Find

Stopped off in Des Moines for lunch and found this solid restaurant. Pretty nice menu selection and food was very good. If I pass through again, I expect to eat at Django instead of my normal routine of eating somewhere new.

Delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and excellent wine. The wait staff were so kind and helpful. The duck was to die for! I would definitely go back, as soon as I save up enough money. It was plenty pricey, but definitely worth it if you are looking for a fancy evening out.

Had the crab cakes at lunch. They had a very fishy taste. Service and atmosphere were good. Probably would not try again.

We have gone here often for work and many times for dinner at night. There is a nice area if you just want drinks and appetizers or a large dining area to eat in. The food is wonderful. There are so many items we like that it is impossible to recommend one. They also have a good wine selection to... More

Django never disappoints. The service is friendly and outstanding. Our food was great, and they make an excellent bloody mary.

Django has consistently good food, and always good service, at reasonable prices in downtown Des Moines. It's primarily a French restaurant, but in truth is more French fusion than traditional, and that's a very good thing. If breakfast or brunch is your thing, this is the place to go for luxurious dining on the cheap.

This is our go-to place where we know the food is always excellent, and the staff some of the best in town.

Disappointing is the best I can do regarding our visit to this highly rated (not sure why!) restaurant. We made reservations and arrived to an empty restaurant which perhaps should have given us a clue. We were celebrating a birthday and really wanted to enjoy fine French cuisine and service, we were disappointed on both levels. The facility is very... More

Dishes with a French flair. Wonderful food and service. One of downtown des Moines premier restaurants. Their le royal with cheese (a la pulp fiction) is one of the best gourmet hamburgers in town.
