Wonderful lunch & dinner

We went here twice during my stay for a business trip. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The dinner menu was very extensive. Both meals were fantastic. I'd highly recommend this restaurant

Django had fallen out of our regular downtown dining rotation after a few spotty service experiences in recent years. Returned with a couple who had never been there before and wanted to try it. Glad we gave it a mulligan. Great service at the bar before our table was ready. Had one issue with a new bottle of wine that... More

I have been to Django twice in the last month. The first visit was great and took some friends there the second time hoping it would be just as good. Django did not disappoint. Their appetizers, oysters, and cheese plates are extensive and very good. The menu has excellent selections and they are prepared well as well as being reasonably... More

We're Des Moines residents, and this is our go-to restaurant about 90% of the time. Food is great and the people are pleasant. Menu is broad and we've yet to have anything that wasn't good. Cheese flights, duck frites and onion rings are all great appetizer choices. Burgers are great; soups and salads are nice as well. If you have... More

I was in Des Moines last week with my husband and his parents. I read the reviews and thought Django's looked like a good choice for dinner. My husband and in laws looked at the menu and thought it was high priced and pretentious, but I convinced them to give it a try. When our meals arrived and we tasted... More

Went here for a work outing and it was phenomenal. I got the Mixed salad with balsamic vinaigrette, a cup of french onion soup and a side of french fries because I had heard they were delicious. The presentation of the food was amazing, the salad was fresh and delicious and the soup came with cheese bubbling over it and... More

We've been to this restaurant a few times, but we went again recently. This restaurant really is one of Des Moines's best. It's a French restaurant, and I've only been in the Paris airport and Paris Las Vegas, so I can't comment on authenticity . . . But the food is really good here. It is delicious, it is presented... My colleague and I went on Wednesday around 7:30 and it wasn't crowded. A wood paneled pleasant environment. The menu is very interesting and varied. She had veal sweetbreads on polenta as an appetizer and it smelled divine. I had a house salad that was ordinary but well prepared. Her duck was perfect, my scallops St. Jacques was huge and... Dark wood, white tablecloths and excellent choices on the menu make this a great choice for business or pleasure. My colleagues and I dined with a business partner and and we're treated like royalty by the staff. We ordered onion rings appetizer which was huge. My colleague enjoyed the Crouque Miseur and I opted for the Croque madame. We were... More

We selected Django for an early dinner after a matinee at the Des Moines Civic Center. We arrived before our reservation time, so sat at the bar for a drink and our appetizer. We enjoyed the ambience and tried the poutine, shared a small order, which was big enough for 4 as an appetizer. So tasty, the two of us... More
