Dark wood, white tablecloths and excellent choices on the menu make this a great choice for business or pleasure. My colleagues and I dined with a business partner and and we're treated like royalty by the staff. We ordered onion rings appetizer which was huge. My colleague enjoyed the Crouque Miseur and I opted for the Croque madame. We were... More

We selected Django for an early dinner after a matinee at the Des Moines Civic Center. We arrived before our reservation time, so sat at the bar for a drink and our appetizer. We enjoyed the ambience and tried the poutine, shared a small order, which was big enough for 4 as an appetizer. So tasty, the two of us... More

We celebrated my Fathers 90th Birthday and were thrilled with the dinner. This was dinner for 9 in a private room. They allowed us to bring in our own Champagne and didnt charge us a thing for a corkage fee. They also allowed us to bring in a special birthday cake and were happy to cut and serve it. The... More

We visited Django at 3pm to enjoy a very late lunch right as the staff were setting up for the supper reservations on New Year's Eve. Since this is a popular French restaurant in the heart of downtown, we were not surprised at how early their supper reservations started. Fortunately, the staff was very friendly and accommodating to us as... More

I've had a mixed experience at Django, which leads me to believe you should order what they're best known for, which is their burger. On my first visit, I had the duck breast which was overcooked and tough. I did not really enjoy that dinner. The second time we went, I got the burger with the fried egg and fries.... More

Three of us arrived for a late dinner. I'll admit we had high expectations, given word of mouth from friends. The good: the mussels and duck fries appetizers were very good. For dinner, one of us had the steak medallions with lobster butter, which was very good. The not-so-good: my New York Strip au Poivre was a bad cut of... More

Django is one of our favorite lunch spots. Their French inspired menu is very tasty. They have Brussel sprouts on the appetizer menu that are outstanding. A must have with any order.

Used Open Table to setup a reservation and arrived early on a Thursday night, had no problem getting a table. We had the Sea Scallops and Bouillabaisse entrees, as you can see from the photos on TA the presentation on the Sea Scallops was great, my wife was happy with her choice and really liked the bed of mashed potatoes... Started off with an order of calamari that had a small fried pepper that was delightfully sweet. Main course was wonderful bouillabaisse! Rich and flavorful. Dinner bill was not bad for the quality of food and service. Must go for a nice dinner.

The title says it all. Never had a bad meal here. it's a great place to take that "special" bottle of wine -- you know the one, it cost more than you usually pay and you're not sure when you're going to drink it because it seems like it deserves a special occasion. Then someday it's turned into expensive vinegar.... More
