We were in Decorah for the Nordic Fest, so it was a bit crazy, but we had a wonderful experience at Ede's & the Angry Pickle! The service was excellent!! With the festival, I know the employees were run ragged, but they were so polite and funny. The food was fantastic and just what we were wanting. They have a... More

First off, when you have a 3 year old and the tables have paper they can draw on with crayons to their hearts content you automatically get 2 stars in my book. Top that off with great tasting food, very friendly service and prices that are beyond reasonable and you get a 5 star rating. Definitely try a dessert. We... More

We stopped in here after visiting the Hatchery based on the TA rating. The pickle in the name got me as I love pickles. It was crowded when we arrived but, we were soon seated with menus. My first choice was a bowl of homemade fish chowder which was outstanding. Sort of similar to NE Clam chowder but, better. Next... More

My family was on the way home from Rochester MN after a long stay at the Mayo Clinic. This was just the place we all needed to eat and breathe a sigh of relief. The sandwiches were unique and tasty. The service was good and the setting relaxed. We will stop again on the next trip up.

We had the fish chowder and local trout dinner - it was fresh and fantastic. We arrived near closing time but we're not rushed to finish our dinner. The cucumber appetizer is so delicious! Very friendly and knowledgeable waiter.

With all the fancier and more expensive restaurants either filled up or closed on a weekday, we were attracted to this one for the fish and vegetables option. Both entrees -- roasted salmon and roasted trout -- were cooked to perfection and came with a full complement of sides: salad or soup, fresh and local vegetable, bread. (We asked for... More

We had dinner here, based on the great Trip Advisor reviews posted, and had a wonderful experience. The waiter seated us even though we arrived very close to their closing time. He provided us with some great recommendations, and we had a fantastic dinner. Though they don't serve wine, he suggested that we place our order and then head across... More

Met some friends and my brother-in law for a few craft beers then went to Ede's to eat. The place is small, but cozy and they do not serve alcohol, however you can carry in wine which we did and they supply the glasses. We decided to order the fresh caught trout from the area streams, (the chef catches his... More

With our daughter in college here, we are frequent visitors to town. This is without question the best food. Best prices. The sandwiches are delicious, have interesting combinations that you won't find everywhere and are HUGE. Some of their specialties (fish tacos) are better than we've had anywhere in the country. Last week we visited at lunch only to find... More
